    For those criticising Ange's 9 changes for the League cup, he said himself he needed to give these guys game time to make his mind up on players...he had a transfer window closing with not many other options to play players...that team that was on the field were good enough to win that game despite the changes...Solomon was one player who had a poor game yet starred against Burnley...would you rather Ange made the changes in the League Cup or in the Premier League & dropped points there, where points are so precious...Ange see's the bigger picture & the bigger prize & he will be thinking...without a doubt... that the team he is building WILL be good enough to win the Premier League...that will be his main focus...and three points dropped in the Premier League against going out in the League Cup, when that 3 points could mean the difference between winning or losing the title...In Ange We Trust...COYS!

      With our squad depth - especially in defense - it's probably better to put all our eggs in one basket. We can also hope that Newcastle and the like will crumble later on in the season with loads more matches.
      I don't think they have the depth either to do well in both UCL and the League.
      Maybe now Romero can actually play well consistently instead of sitting out every other match..

      I agree with you on some points. Ange did this at Celtic to prove his point that a lot of players didn’t fit his system, and he ended up making 13+ outgoing transfers in that first year (maybe even more?). He built a team so balanced that the player fighting for a place was extremely close in level to the first choice player and that kept training very intense and of a high quality and it also ended up pushing the first choice players to perform even better. You can’t win big things with 11 players, he needs a true 22 man squad for Spurs for his system to truly work.

    • @mickdundee2642
      @mickdundee2642 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@maitlandbezzina2842 Ange thinks more of a squad than first 11 on any day he’ll have 16 players not just 11…obviously there will be those that write their own name into the starting 11 but he needs a group of players that no matter who comes on they can slip straight into Ange ball no probs…”We never stop” is his testament to his belief in a high level of fitness & endurance in his players…run hard & do 90 min in 60 so then those that do come on do 45 in 30

    I'll be honest. Was a it skeptical when he came in, but my god, the football that is being played is something we haven't seen since 2017 Pochettino days. The manager carries himself well both on and off the pitch. Class manager and an interesting one. Expected Spurs to finish 7th or 6th, but now I don't know which teams could stop Spurs with the way they play. The tactics Ange plays will be interesting against teams with pacey clinical forwards like City, Liverpool, and Arsenal, but for now, it's box office both on and off the pitch.

Being a star player and then coach for the Greek club in the 3rd largest Greek city on the planet certainly helped his media profile. Everyone knew of Ange and I'm not that into soccer, I'm a rugby man from Queensland originally. In Aus, it doesn't matter which sport you play, we all know who the movers and shakers are across all sports. When Ange went to Brisbane and took Brisbane Roar to the top in a rugby league mad city, some of his biggest fans were the RL stars.
      So, yes "wE knEw aBouT aNgE beForE yOu dId" and we are having a laugh that you have just found out 35 years after us. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

    He's been down with you a couple weeks.
    He terrorised the Scottish media for two whole seasons
    They were terrified of him
