Another belter Martin. What a stunning place. Its so "otherworldly". So great to hear the cuckoo too. I still love your content pal. There's joy in it. Your love for walking and exploring is writ large on your face. You fizz with it. We can feel the excitement. Thanks for another great video.
Alyn my friend thank you for that. I know you love the birds and that cuckoo was right outside my tent. Really nice. Thanks for the kind words pal. Always appreciate it and keep your content coming. Half way through your last video up the Galtees. Looking forward to seeing the rest.
Hi Martin. some rum, a rock and a sunset !! it doesn't get any better than that. I think that was one of your best videos, just the story of a simple solo camp that was very nicely told, the sound of the cuckoo really added to the experience. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Hope the spicy porridge was ok 😅. all the best 👍
Hey Andrew.. thanks so much for the kind words. I'm flattered. I really enjoyed that camp and just felt present to be honest. Thanks again pal. The Cuckoo was so nice to wake up too. Right outside my tent. I was able to edit out my face for my spicy gluten free curry porridge 🤢🤣
That looked like a very peaceful camp. Pity about the cuckoo making all the racket 🙄🤣 joking! The little lanshan 1 is a cracking tent, I was a bit worried that time in the mournes but like you I found a semi sheltered spot. A bit of cop on goes a long way too 😄 great video man
Off camera I told the cuckoo to shut it 😂 only joking. A nice wake up call. Yes loving the Lanshan. It should be on the list for a lot of 1st time back packs. Affordable, light weight and strong. A bit like myself. Except the light weight part 😅
Caught some of your alcohol stove reviews recently and was excited to see this trip of yours pop up. Intro was solid and had me chuckling. I've done that way too many times and felt like a knucklehead having to go back and lock the car. Really interesting area you hiked and camped. Thanks for bringing us along.
😂 felt like a Knucklehead 😂😂. But when I was editing I said I'd show it. Thanks for the comment and but the way. Looking forward to checking out your channel. New sub from me.
So, if I ever see you in the burren, I should turn around and run as fast as I can in the opposite direction 😂, I'll take your advice for it. Great video mate, I have to go back there, very nice and peaceful, I'll probably go after a few days of rain maybe I'll find some water around, tnx for the video excellent 👌
Nice camp spot there, shaded from the elements. I'd say a peaceful night. I love the Burren, looking forward to getting back there. Great video my friend.
Lucky you didn't go to Far away from your Car 😂 unlike me when i remembered 4km So ended up going back to it and somehow it locked itself 🤔 and that ended my hike 😂😂
@@soletrail Yeah, the inner and outer are all together. Only problem I've had with it was condensation, but that was only once in minus temperatures. Tent was frozen inside and out. But 9 times out of 10 it's been perfect. Looking forward to getting out camping again soon. It's been a few months. This video reminded me to try the Burren again 🙂
Nice one Martin, have never been to the burren but will think about an overnight there for sure. Great video. Did you do the dehydrated meals yourself? Cheers
Let me know pal and we can make a camping plan. Yep I use the ninja Air fryer. It has a dehydrated function on it. Very handy when you wanna stay away from gluten.
@@soletrail cheers mate, hope to see you soon! Video on dehydrated meals prep perhaps? Not everyone's cup of tea but be a great starter for a few of us lol

A cuckoo in song....my favourite sound this time of the year while out hill walking..
One of my favourite noises. I may even take the audio for it and use it as my alarm clock. 😊 Appreciate the comment
One of my favourites so far Martin. There's something really special about this place.
Truly remarkable place alright Brian. Just love it there.
Man, you nailed it! This was brilliantly executed, you created such a unique and somehow mysterious feeling! 👏👏
Thanks a ton pal. Appreciate your support as always.
Great video Martin. A Cuckoo clock to wake you up is a nice touch.
Absolutely, it must have been right outside the tent. Really nice wake up. Thanks Patrick

My door clip broke on my Lanshan last year, I used a carabiner since, no issues
Yeah I must carry a spare or something. Kinda don't wanna change it to see how long it lasts. You can get metal ones.
Great video and camp Martin as usual keep up the good work atb 👏👌
Hey Keith. Appreciate that pal. New Editing pc currently being built so plenty on the way. 💪🙌😊
Great spot in a beautiful area 👌 So different to any other area of the country 😊
Totally agree! So unique. You gotta know where the spots are and I wanna find a water source.

@soletrail I appreciate it. Have to get back into filming again now that I got a promotion and better work/life balance.
Enjoyed that Martin. I must get back to Ireland again soon. good you found the easier path on your way back, handy for next time. ATB. Martin
Absolutely, look me up when you venture to Eire.. we can do a camp.

😂😂 Love the Burren man. Gotta get there in your Naturehike some day.
Nice camp spot there, shaded from the elements. I'd say a peaceful night. I love the Burren, looking forward to getting back there. Great video my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it pal. It's such a cool place. We'll get there some day. Where did you camp there?
@@soletrail I've never camped there, hoping to this year.
On my last camp a few weeks back I was using the little Lixada Ti alcohol stove, more efficient than my Trangia, and so much lighter too!
Which one? I like lixada. They make some good stuff.
good job Martin i appreciate the work you put into the videos and i have no interest in going camping 😂 👍
😂 come on I'll get you camping yet 😂 cheers for the comment. So much work goes into them and it's nice to see a message like that.

Jasus 4km. I'd leave the Car get robbed 😂😂 Cheers Mark sir and as always thanks for the support man. 😊
Great as usual Martin.Must put it on my list of places to visit ,it’s getting to be a long list .Stay safe .
Thanks Ger. Even wanna hike it let me know. Incredible spot. 🙌
I've got the lanshan 1 pro as well. Love it. Can easily get a 65l pack into it too.
Burren is a really nice spot.
Is the Pro a single skin? Love the kaki colour. It's so camouflaged in nature. More tents should be that colour.

Hi Martin, I love the Burren too. Wondering where you started from?
Thank you. Lots of spots near Mullaghmore. Lovely location.
