    I took out a payday loan once. I paid it back when it came due. It was hard, and it made things tight. But I saw how it could easily turn into a viscous cycle if I didn't.

    If someone can't afford a washing machine just wash clothes in the bath, all the celebritys do it in Big brother
    Despite that I do feel bad for these people in hardship

    Ask to see each person's budget. When they of course don't have a budget sit down and write down their income and expenses and develop a budget for them. Show them where their money is going and build a plan go cut expenses and if they are unwilling or feel unable show them how much additional income they need to make to even have success. It's literally 15 minutes per family.

    Credit Cards are the same, they claim they want to help , but they charge up to 25 quid, which means they do not give a crap, they add these crap charges on that just adds to it more and you owe more, they do not care only for making a profit

    • @collinslfc
      @collinslfc 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well of course they are there to make a profit. Credit card companies are a business, not a charity.

    I’ve had 2 pay day loans in my life, in my 20’s. Paid them right off the next pay day. I had 0 problems w this service. The thing is...you have to really be able to pay it back. In full. Or your gonna be in a sick trap. But if you make the money and are just short this week for something, a pay day loan can help.

      I can relate, i had 2 back when i was 25 and paid them off right away

      Reminds me of realistic and responsible use of credit cards...pay them off FAST so you never get hit with an interest charge and never get a card that charges a yearly fee...and the rewards-type of credit cards pay YOU good money just for using them.

    Get all your washing machine and dryers covered it’s only a £2 a week on each it’s nothing then if they can’t fix it you will get a new one told all my daughters to get covered even their TVs saves a lot of money and worry but never ever take out one of these loans they are all working in good jobs but anything can happen I would rather them come to us than touch any of these rip offs loans

    ......i bet if someone comes in with a better offer they would put these clowns out of business

    • @doug814
      @doug814 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The problem is the target of the payday loans are people who aren't real good at paying bills so the interest rate has to reflect the risk involved.

    i know its not a pay day loan but paypal were offering 4 months interest free money and every payment to them for goods and items had to be over 150 quid or more. if not i would get charged the 17% interest fee if one whole transaction was below 150 quid that works out as 24 quid payment if one transaction is below the 150 quid and then pay probably with interest after 4 months to how much i spent. i haven't gone ahead with it of course.

    • @CmdrEsteban

      You’re joking? It’s bloody rife in Australia and has been for years! Nimble, Cash Train, Cigno, Cash Converters Loans, Swift Loans, Wallet Wizard… there are dozens of them. They’re all predatory and their business model relies on desperate low-income borrowers needing to finance existing debt with new debt and so on and so on into a financial black hole. Thankfully ASIC is in the midst of taking down Cigno which is the worst of the worst, bordering on criminal in its predatory lending and deception.

    Now they worry about math, instead of when they were learning it. They'd rather flirt and pop out kids with a loser.

      @@lizzymaclean6753at 5:35 there's a way to fix them photos. Just take a photo of all the samples with your phone and go into an app such as Snapseed or even Sketch. You can easily get rid of that line going through the photos.

    When in a truly desperate situation having even these loansharks to turn to is better than nothing at all... I'm sure these loans help some people a lot too.
