That H/W pickups are around 8.7k neck and 9.7k bridge, Alnico 2. They are only a step below the Texas Specials. Tomatillos sounds awesome, really warm and creamy. And the Nocaster wiring is very cool. I’ve got that same Telecaster but without binding, in Tomatillo Green color.
I like the way the bridge pickup is reversed. Greg Fryor, who was the first to service Brian Mat's Red Special, (from Sydney Australia) mounts them that way ( like Hendrix played ) for a Musician, Ian Moss, probably one of Australia's best after Tommy Emmanuel and Joe Robinsion. The cour, LPB is beautiful ( darker would be better) and it's a geat guitar. What amp? A blues Jr.??
A great sounding Tele which Cooper did justice to in his great playing. I personally wouldn’t pay the Custom Shop premium as you can get a great sounding Tele from their regular American Professional ll series. I can’t wait till they come up with the Chile Rellanos pickups (my favourites).
As an SG lover here the thin line Tele’s always interested me. Right now I actually only own two Warmoth Tele’s and they both play beautifully but they’re both the run of the mill chunky bodies. One of these days I really need to get me a thinline, the binding looks pretty cool on them too imo, nice axe 🤙

@@soofitnsexy they definitely arent a bargain, but they are worth it for pros, because its their jobs. If youre a musician, it just makes sense to invest in your craft to that degree. The rest of us, unless we are lawyers or doctors, just want a great instrument at a decent price point.

Yep, it sounds like a Tele. I'll stick with my prs. I've had nothing but issues with fender guitars. I purchased a new deluxe strat and the push push didn't work. Exchanged it for another one and the bridge pickup stopped working after two weeks. The store was out of new cobra blue deluxe strats so they repaired this one. Took fender weeks to approve the repair then weeks to get the parts them after it was repaired the pickup did not sound right. I returned it and ordered a prs se pauls guitar. Half the price, sounds great and a joy to play.
These twisted teles seem fantastic but why wont the custom shop produce better colors and finishes for this line? The blue is "Ok" but far from stunning. Weird at this price point they wouldn't do something more special. We like the specs but the color is boring and bland. Yes?

$5k+ for a telecaster is wild😅 but I imagine this was created for a certain audience in mind. I think I’ll stick to my MIM tele I got used for $300
