Guys, the way you make costumes for a theatre production is completely different than for something on a tv screen. For a theatre production, the goal is to make sure you can clearly see a specific character from far away and from all kinds of angles through the view of the audience. So their goal isn't to make the most beautiful, ornate costumes that are super realistic, but to make a clear silhouette with larger shaped details so someone sitting from far away can say...that person is Elsa and that person is Anna.
The tv screen is where you can make more grand, complicated designs, because the audience will be able to see everything right from their couch. So you can't actually compare these costumes to a tv audience because they are designed for two different purposes.

I have so much respect for Disney but I'm going to say that once upon a time did way better costumes for the frozen characters just saying that's OK tho ABC is Disney

That's exactly what I thought, the costume look exactly like the ones at Wicked lol
probably because of the period and historical references they used.
But you won't deny Frozen is pretty much a Disneyfied Wicked.
