Literally, these videos are saviour for those civil engineering students who are unable to perform these experiments on field as from last one year all the classes are in online mode. These provide a much required insight of field work.
you guru of soil mechanics sir .................................thanks sir ........................................................................................................
Sir, my question is to you...for 4.75mm Sieve Analysis there is need lesser value of sample as you already told me as IS2720 there is need 400 gram soil sample ...but in the video you have taken 1kg sieve sample ...I think it is not right method to calculate finer...your sample is 1 kg that is clear that it is well graded sand silt ...so why you have taken 1kg soil sample ...please tell me
24:42 why used both samples from the riffler? I thought when riffled the sample split into half, so only need one of the samples? If taking both, which is equal to what he just started?
splitters are typically used in assay and analytical laboratories to reduce the size of samples provided from other sources (crushed rock, , powders and so on) to a lot size that is appropriate for the next stage of analytical sample preparation. I had same question and found this online. wdt?
16:24 What is the remaining 6.2% quantity collected in the pan at the bottom, that passes even the lowest 75 micron sieve? Is that what is considered soil?
That depends on how you define it, but generally all grain sizes make up the "soil" in a sense. Particles that pass the 75 microns just constitute the finest particles, like very fine sand, silt and clay.
It consider as coarsed grained, if the weight pass 75micron greater than 50%. The soil can be classified as fine grained. And hydrometer test to be used to determine silt and clay particles.
generally the grain size distribution of particles that are below 100 mm . the particles that are below fifty one microns ... sedimentation analysis .....is preferred such particles neither float nor settle in the treatment plants and cause .... hardness due the presence of metallic ions present vinod khanna...... . I have never seen movies though vinod khanna has acted in several films ..... teachers training association has filtered out many teachers from both polytechnics and engineering colleges and sasikala is not able to hire faculty for even five thousand rupees in Dublin .....so .... with civil background ... I don't know much about films and their background in fact .. Tamil guys and girls cannot live without films a perennial source revenue ........ people who cannot have good looks cannot .... be employed for several reasons ..... though the commission has revised the scale of pay several folds ..........

But this video is too old. Didn't the syllabus change ???
@@sudharrshansuresh6017 Yes... These are old.... But these are still relevant. Many of experiments that we study about are shown nicely here.
@@bisht1202 That's great. By the way thank you for replying
@@sudharrshansuresh6017 Basic Engineering syllabus never changes
you are a saviour for engineering students.. thanks sir
Good
Bark Allah fik
you guru of soil mechanics sir .................................thanks sir ........................................................................................................
Can you please add a video on hydrometer test for fine soils
Very good great espich sir
You explained it very well.....

If pan material is excess 5% , what will happen?
Thank You, Punjabi sir is dedicated to his work, that is very unique
Paajii sir rocked it🔥🔥
Sir how much maximum and minimum blows required for liquid limit of soil and murum
Sir could you please help me with grain size analysis by hydrometer method???
i found it very interesting post more.
Thank you very much for this most excellent video
nice presentation
Really very nice tests
Please make some moment sir..Don't freeze like a Robert
Super 💯
hydrometer analysis wala video banaye sir
you r great and u r a guru deb

And i thought rifflers are the tools for filing 🤦♂️
what is the function of riffler??

super sir
I can not understand how ever you calculate % of retained??
I mean what is the total weight of soil mass?
Thank you Sir
