Mushroom Farming and Free Training || ପାଳ ଛତୁ

Mushroom, specifically, paddy straw mushroom can be grown easily with very less investment and yields back approximately within 12 to 13 days. One needs to invest less than Rs.100/- per bed and he can expect almost double of his investment as gross income in a very short span of time, 12 to 13 days.
I met with Mr. Sashikanta Rout and Mr. Sovan Dash of Tamando in Bhubaneshwar, interacted with them to know the process, training, scope, employability, profit etc. of mushroom. I have noted down their opinions as follows:
We need a well aerated shade space which gets reflected sunlight, not direct sunlight. Paddy straw length should be- 22 inch for the Winter , 18 inch for the Summer and 20 inch for the Rainy and rest of the time. Then paddy straws to be water dipped in a water tank for 12 hours. The tank water to be added with lime at the rate of 5 gram per litre of water. After 12 hours, paddy straws to be dried for 1 -2 hours so that extra water will be drained out from the straw.
They have used 2 layers of mushroom beds to use the space more intensively. They are also producing paddy straw mushroom round the year, even in Winter with special care and technology which will be shared later on in this channel.
Polythene sheet is covered till 6 to 7 days in the bed in the beginning.
Their main business is spawn production. They also announce for free training to the interested entrepreneurs.
They are using 6 bundles of paddy straw in each layer. 3 layers are formed. 1 bundle of paddy straw is required to cover the 3rd layer. So, 19 bundles of paddy straw is required in total. 1 bottle of spawn is required for a bed. 200 grams of Besan/ Dal is required. Spawn with Dal/ Besan is used at 3 inch distance. Each layer height should be around 4 inch. Spawn with dal dust is applied in the 4 side boarders for first 2 layers. But in last 3rd layer spawn with dal dust is applied also in the middle space including 4 side boarders. Then 1 bundle of paddy straw is covered uniformly. At last, polythene covered tightly.
Mycelium can be found after 6- 7 days. Polythene to be uncovered when mycelium is found. Polythene is to be covered again when bed is dried up. This time duration varies from season to season. Mushroom pins are developed at around 9th day. At, 11th day, mushroom pins becomes bigger in size. Final harvest is done at 12th / 13th day.
Free of cost training is provided by them.
Wholesale price of mushroom at Bhubaneswar is Rs.180/- per kilogram. Around one kilogram of mushroom is produced per bed. Rs.80/- approximately spent per bed. One can make a net profit of atleast Rs.60/- from 1 bed within 12 to 13 days. So, it is quite profitable.

ଉପାଦାନ: ନଡା(କେଣ୍ଡା କଟା ଥିବା ୧.୫ ଫୁଟ ଲମ୍ବ)- ୧୦ କିଲୋ(୧୭ ବିଡା), ଛତୁ ମଞ୍ଜି, ୨୦୦ ଗ୍ରାମ ଡାଲି/ବେସନ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ ଓ ଧଳା ପଲିଥିନ ।
ପ୍ରଣାଳୀ : ପ୍ରତି ଲିଟର ପାଣିରେ ୧୦ ଗ୍ରାମ ହିସାବରେ ଚୂନ ମିଶା ପାଣିକୁ ଏକ କୁଣ୍ଡରେ ନେଇ ୧୦ ରୁ ୧୨ ଘଣ୍ଟାଯାଏ ନଡାକୁ ବତୁରାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ । ବତୁରା ନଡାରୁ ପାଣି ନିଗାଡି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ । ଛତୁ ବିହନ ଏବଂ ବେସନ ବା ଡାଲି ଗୁଣ୍ଡକୁ ୪ ଭାଗ କରନ୍ତୁ । ୫ ବିଡା ନଡାକୁ ଖୋଲି ପୂର୍ବରୁ କରାଯାଇଥିବା ଭାଡିରେ ପୂର୍ବ-ପଶ୍ଚିମ କିମ୍ବା ଉତ୍ତର-ଦକ୍ଷିଣ କରି ବିଛାଇ ସମତୁଲ କରି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ । ନଡାର ମୂଳକୁ ବାହାର ପଟକୁ ରଖନ୍ତୁ । ଏକ ଭାଗ ମଞ୍ଜିକୁ ନେଇ ପଟିର କଡରୁ ୨ ରୁ ୩ ଇଞ୍ଚ ଛାଡି ଚାରି ପାଖରେ ଥୋଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ । ଏବେ ମଞ୍ଜି ଉପରେ ଏକ ଭାଗ ଡାଲି/ବେସନ ଗୁଣ୍ଡ ବୁଣି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ । ତାପରେ ଅନ୍ୟ ୫ ବିଡା ନଡା ନେଇ ପ୍ରଥମ ସ୍ତରର ବିପରିତ ଦିଗରେ ବିଛାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ, ପୂର୍ବ ପରି ମଞ୍ଜି ଏବଂ ଡାଲି ଗୁଣ୍ଡ ବୁଣନ୍ତୁ । ଏହି ଭଳି ୩ୟ ସ୍ତର କରନ୍ତୁ । ପରିଶେଷରେ ୨ ବିଡା ନଡାକୁ ବିଛାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ, ହାତରେ ଚାପି ସମତୁଲ କରିଦିଅନ୍ତୁ ଏବଂ ପଲିଥିନ ଘୋଡାଇ ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ । ଭାଡି ପଡିବାର ୬-୭ ଦିନ ପରେ ପଲିଥିନ ଭିତରେ ନଡା ଚାରିପାଖରେ ଛତୁର ଫିମ୍ପି ମାଡିଥିବାର ଦେଖାଯିବ । ଏବେ ପଲିଥିନକୁ ଖୋଲି ଦିଅନ୍ତୁ ଏବଂ ଦିନକ ପରେ ପ୍ରତିଦିନ ୨-୩ ଲିଟର ପାଣି ୩ ରୁ ୪ ଥରରେ ଭାଡିର ଚାରିପଟେ ଧାରରେ ଏବଂ ଉପରେ ସିଞ୍ଚନ କରନ୍ତୁ ।
ଅମଳ : ଛତୁ ବେଡ ପକାଇବାର ୧୨ ରୁ ୧୫ ଦିନ ଭିତରେ ଛତୁ ଫୁଟିବା ଆରମ୍ଭ ହୁଏ । ଗୋଟିଏ ବେଡରୁ ହାରାହାରି ୮୦୦ ରୁ ୧୦୦୦ ଗ୍ରାମ ଅମଳ ମିଳିଥାଏ
