It must have been a great experience to be part of creating this fantastic event. I was there for the first time too - as a visitor from Denmark. This song is extremely beautiful, and two concerts at Mezaparka last week are among my greatest experiences ever. Thanks and greetings to you and all the many other persons, who in many different ways have participated in make this event possible. I wish I will be able to be back in 2028!
Glad you liked it because we thing first and foremost for ourselves and the feeling of community in ourselves, but definitely having listeners who enjoy it is almost as important :)
@@elviskvalbergs Yes, indeed. This festival is basically Latvians celebrating their common nation, culture, history and traditions together, and for the same reason it is not overrun by foreign tourists. I think it is very valuable for any country to keep their traditions alive, but your way to do it is impressive and very beautiful. For me being non-Latvlian it was just an extra dimension to be so close to the Latvian people and to experience your fascinating traditions "from inside".
@@elviskvalbergs No, we have groups around practising folk music and dances, including wearing local traditional clothes, but not at all anything covering the whole nation. So for me it is rather unique what you do.

Do you have anything remotely similar in Denmark?
