In 78 we were running 041AVs they were great ,but we had a super 45 with the 48 inch fire bar that I thought was amazing with the power to weigh ratio.
Howuch compression is to much compression. I just removed the base gasket and installed a LRB pop up in my 660 and I've gotta put the compression release back in it cause I can't start it without it I'm sure. I'm waiting on my Honda bond till tomorrow but then I'm gonna try to run it. Any advice is appreciated
@@JandSChainsaw I bought it from an old retired logger guy that just put together the kit saws and sells them. I'm not sure what all he'd done to it during the build but he said he builds a lot for tree company guys and loggers. I might have just messed up a perfecty good saw. It don't have an hour of run time on it when I just took it apart and did this stuff to it.
@@JandSChainsaw thanks for sure. I'm gonna check it out here in a few minutes. I can't believe how restricted this factory air filter seems to be. It's even got some kinda cloth stuff around the filter like a pre filter. I might order the foam filter for it. Have you had any luck with the foam filter rather than the stock kind?
@@JandSChainsaw and also I wonder why the squish band is almost no existent? I mean it looks like it's pretty much all dome and almost no flat area squish band. Looks kinda like it should have a dome piston instead of the flat top kind
I finally got around to running my 660! You did a great job! Runs like a top!
Great to hear!
Great video sir thank you. I'd still take my 460 any day!!!

@matthewknight5641 check the squish clearance you need .020 between the top of the piston and squish band
