  • Classic Car Addict is proud to present this 1971 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The second-generation Camaro was produced by Chevrolet from 1970 through the 1981 model years. They were introduced in the spring of 1970. The second gens were longer, lower, and wider than the first gen Camaro’s and convertibles were no longer available. GM engineers have said the second gen was much more of a “driver’s car” than its predecessor. The high-performance Z/28 option remained available through 1975, redesigned as the Z28 in 1972.
This 1971 Camaro was originally sold in Tampa, FL and spent most of its life as a genuine, unmolested example. The performance modifications were completed shortly before our consignor purchased the vehicle.
The interior is finished in black with new front vinyl bucket seats, new headliner and sun visors, black carpeting, and what appears to be the original velour rear bench seat. Interior also includes a JVC AM/FM/Cassette stereo and a center console with the four-speed shift pattern displayed behind the Hurst shifter, which is finished in faux woodgrain. Peering through the 3-spoke Chevy steering wheel you see the original gauges, fuel, amps, 150 MPH gauge, RPM, temp, and factory clock. Additional SUNPRO gauges will be found in front of the shifter that features battery voltage, engine temp, and oil pressure.
The car is finished in yellow with black stripes and is said to have been repainted under previous ownership. The Camaro came from the factory finished in Nevada Silver (13), but who doesn’t want to “transform” their badass Camaro into Bumblebee? The trim tag notates Z28.19, which means it’s a true Z28 with black stripes. Again, another favorite of ours. Gray 15” wheels with trim rings and blue Chevy logo center caps are mounted with rear Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires, 23x12.00R15LT and front Laufenn G Fit AS, 205/65R15’s.
The Camaro is equipped with a 350 (3970014) cubic inch V-8 engine with a Holley 750 cfm carburetor, an aluminum intake manifold, a 10-bolt rear end with 4.11 gears, a Borg Warner T10 four-speed manual transmission, power steering, and power disc brakes. This classic muscle car has also been very tastefully upgraded with additional upgrades that include TRW forged pistons, Eagle forged crank, Crane Cams camshaft, Carter fuel pump, Milodon deep sump pan, cast valve covers, HEI ignition, and hooker headers. Acceleration is instant with a nice hearty growl and plenty of torque to the wheels. Handling is excellent with the upgraded power disc brakes and has great stopping power.
Don’t miss this awesome deal on owning your own “Bumblebee” Camaro. Call Classic Car Addict today at 480-256-1459.
