The thing about Gus that was so awesome, you could almost never see how he was feeling from looking at him. He always had that poker face stare. Only two exceptions I can think of are when he destroyed the Cartel and the scene where he's in the car about to go in to see Hector.
He looked afraid in the car which is a look I never thought I would see in him and when he fires Walt in the desert, he looked pissed. Not something I would want to do.
It's strange to see these characters, within the first season, they were normal, no abnormalities anywhere.. But by season 5, every character's lives were ruined. Gus Fring could've lived in secrecy for the rest of his life. Doing what he was doing. Saul Goodman could've remained a lawyer for the entirety of Breaking Bad. Both Marie and Skyler lost their husbands, one way or another. Hank Schrader would've still been alive, not knowing of Heisenberg's existence, as Heisenberg was never real. Jesse Pinkman, now dealing with severe PTSD from working with Walter. Mike Ehrmantraut could've kept his job as Gus Fring's gun. But is now gone, because of Walter. And Walter White, the man who ruined so many, he was ruined by drug making, it being the only thing he ever had in this world that made him feel as alive as he was throughout the show. He liked it. He was good at it.
He ruined himself. A man with a pathetic child ego who could have remained a co-founder of a huge company, who could live out a great life, got exactly what he deserved. Only in the end, his perverted ego, after crushing so many lives, won.
And yet, you could say he made the world better, before Breaking Bad, drug cartels, organized crime, and etc. essentially ruled South America, Mexico, and the southern US states. In just two years, he brought all of them down, including the good-for-nothing lawyer representing them, and the people trying to continue his criminal legacy. While there'll still be people trying to fill the power vacuum, it won't be anything like it was before the show.
I didn't think the video would get emotional, but seeing everyone whose lives were ruined by the Heisenberg campaign, all slowly blended together, to the music from one of the show's most built-up and emotional scenes... Honestly, it's pretty moving.

It is kind of like in Death Note where, whether you like Light/Kira or not, or agree with him or not, what he set out to do and did *worked*, he was *right*. He reduced crime, murder, war, and corruption in the world nearly absolute and died for his troubles, feared and called a monster. In the grand scheme of things? He did the world a favor and it all turned out for the best, and just because some criminals and a few nobodies who were never gonna get anywhere in their lives, suffered in his wake? It was all worth it, for him and for the world.

I felt very conflicted in this scene. It was clearly goodbye for Gus. But I was uncertain whether I wanted him to die. He was a very complex character. It is only fitting that this scene inspired complex emotions.
The further I get into the show, the truer Jesse's words get. At the beginning you want to deny it, but Walter White did indeed ruin the lives of everyone who ever dealt with him.
