    My doc hasn’t officially diagnosed me with hyperthyroidism but I’m on 2.5 mg of methimazole each day. I think my doc believes that there’s a good possibility of my levels getting back to normal (and staying that way). But I’ve had some pretty scary symptoms. My anxiety was really bad, I was having panic attacks, chest pains, racing heart rate, and heart palpitations. Also, it’s making my seasonal allergies 100x worse. Before I started taking the meds I would be extremely dizzy and had so much pressure in my head, face, and ears. Still not 100% but I have been doing a lot better. Thank you for sharing ❤

    I am so motivated right now after watching this. Just got diagnosed with hyperthyroid after a physical exam. I think I had most of my life but nobody ever told me anything the blinking and jerky movements they just said I was a nervous person. In the last few years I had tremors real bad but thought it was nervousness due a bad relationship. Thank you thank you

      @@FaithsOvenGreetings ~ I got COVID in late August 2023, which I believed had turned into Long COVID - due to shakiness in my legs & later arms + fatigue. Not until I went in for a UTI & blood work was done - that it was discovered my thyroid levels were really OFF - as in HYPERTHYROIDISM! I am supposed to go back for another round of blood work to check my thyroid levels again this month. I haven't started any treatment yet re medication, however, it feels like there are some clear markers to why I have been feeling so off, and, have lost a good amount of weight! It's the "tremors" that I find the most disturbing. I'm glad I found your TH-cam channel - okay, back to your video (I stopped it at 0:36 seconds in) ... 🥰

    Thanks for sharing your story. Recent Grave's diagnosis here. I noticed something was wrong when my fitbit always showed my heart rate at 100+ bpm. I had to quit exercising because going for a walk would shoot my heart rate up to 130 like I was running! Scared the hell out of me! I'm taking the meds the doctor prescribed, and they're working. Back down in the 60s and 70s where it belongs. Best of luck to you!

    I was diagnosticated with hyperthyroidism one year ago and, honestly I didn't know that it is a serious disease, so I didn't treat it, and my doctor did not tell me anything about it, she didn't want me to give any medication, she wanted me to treat with a diet only, so that's why I never went back to see her again. I was so busy working. I had the same symptoms all the time, but like I said, I was so busy working all the time, and there was no time for me to take care of my self.
    So this past March I fell and fractured my left arm, couple months later, I fell again and broke my left hip, guess what, I developed Osteoporosis as a result of not treating my Hyperthyroid. So please, please do not leave for tomorrow, or wait till you get worst.

    • @FaithsOven

      Hello, yes I'm seeing an Osteoporosis doctor and, also an Endocrinologist, and he diagnosticated me with Graves' disease, and he recommended to do the radiation.
      Still I'm not sure what is the best procedure for me. I did change my diet though, we are eating more healthy. No meat at all, more fruit, vegetables, nuts, beans, lentils etc I'm trying not to eat dairy, but it's so hard for me. I feel much better, thank God, also taking medication to control the thyroid.

    Osteoporosis and heart disease are some of the risks of untreated hyperthyroidism. I am glad you feel so much better. I would at least get monitored (with blood tests) by a naturopath.
    I also read that Ashwaganda is not recommended for hyper.
    Zinc is good for the immune system if you are deficient. You can get your vitamins and minerals checked at the naturopath (costly). If you have the antibodies, a naturopath or functional doctor can help you figure out the cause so that you can address it. (Like vitamin deficiency or heavy metals, or issues with your gut)

    I Have graves and Hyperthyroidism since 2013. Taking the methamazole so much it slowed my metabolism down that I KNOW I became hypo even though my doctor says other wise...you just know when something changes with your body. I did gain weight over the last year and I'm trying to find a healthy diet to lose it. I think going vegan and juicing are the best options.

    • @FaithsOven
      @FaithsOven  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I'd definitely say try the plant based diet!! Make sure you're eating enough though. Cancel white processed sugar also... That stuff is a beast!! Or at least try to eat as little as possible of it. Juicing and plant based worked wonders for me. There is a book by Anthony Williams called Thyroid Healing, he talks about all of the vitamins and supplements that go along with diet change. Makes a huge difference.

    I was just diagnosed with as well. My mom recently noticed my eyes were bulging. However she stated a relative noticed it a few years ago. What really got me concerned is when my feet would start itching uncontrollably. If I was driving and it would be so bad i would have to pull over. Then one it hit my left a crazy itch. I kept losing my voice. Which really scared me. And bad knees. The most simplest exercises would hurt. I was losing weight fast, but not if its the because I was also water fasting for weight loss. I've been prescribed medication. I have not any yet. Scared of possible symptoms it may cause.

    Hi Faith, like your videos, I too was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism several years ago, except I am overweight, so, not everyone loses weight with hyperthyroidism. The endocrinologist wanted me to take the radioactive pills to kill my thyroid, and I didn't go through it, then she prescribed medication, the first pill I took less than fifteen minutes, I started to experience adverse side effects. I called her and explained my symptoms. She told me to continue to make them the symptoms will go away; that was the last time I have spoken to her. Like you, I refuse to take medication I was treating myself with natural whole plant food, nut I wasn’t consistent, so I started to experience anxiety attacks. I read up on what fruits and vegetables are good for anxiety and eat more of those fruits and vegetables along with other fruits and vegetables, and I feel much better. I tried the “ Lemon balm and motherwort tea; I felt funny and didn’t like how I felt, so I only drink chamomile tea and add a little dash of turmeric powder it helps with the aches and pains. Turmeric is anti-inflammatory. I drink a lot of green smoothies. I enjoy your videos., thanks!

    I think the most disappointment that I feel is when a doctor tells me that her study wasn't to make me healthier when I asked her " What can I do to heal my Glands" and she told me " I'm sorry I didn't practice ways to heal your thyroid" I was too hurt! I'm ready to switch doctors.

    • @FaithsOven
      @FaithsOven  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      They'll probably all tell you the same thing... So sad and disappointing. Most medical/drug Practice-tioners don't get the schooling, knowledge on nutrition that we as a people of US need. Let thy food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food. Not sure if you've heard that phrase before. Drugs have never healed anyone nor has removing body parts. I pray you get the information that you need and you believe in your natural healing enough to not give in to the drugs. It's work figuring your body out bit once it's figured out, you are smooth sailing.

    I have severe Graves Disease too, since the birth of my son 10 months ago. I have shakes, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, insanely huge appetite... the fitness I had last year is something I can only dream of. I'm in Australia where Radioactive Iodine is not a common treatment. I am on Carbimazole so that I don't become hypothryoid as happens after Radioactive Iodine treatment. Thanks for your video. The medication that made an IMMEDIATE difference was Cardizem as it slowed my racing heart and breathing. That was an amazing immediate difference

    Just started watching hoping to find some better options. I have 5 kids, been working overnights, and diagnosed with hyperthyroidism 3 months ago. They prescribed me methimazole and atenolol. I have tried them both a couple of times, but after reading about the size effects... No. And then when i did my mental wellness they also wanted to start me on antidepressants and anxiety meds. They claimed that they wouldn't give me anything that would mess with my heart rate. BOTH cause rapid heart rate amongst tons of other terrible side effects. I'm only 32. I'm not trying to ruin my health,. 😮‍💨 And my doctor of course isn't happy with me since I'm not taking the meds. Just waiting to see what the endocrinologist says so I can see what all i need to research as far as natural remedies. I have noticed that eating GF, non dairy, no sugar (besides fruit and monk fruit sweetener), and low grains has helped when I can. My body doesn't produce enough enzymes to digest raw vegetables and all fruits except for grapes and strawberries. Lemon balm drops and ashwaganda seemn to take the edge off too.

Read the bible and meditate on HIS words.Never be tired of hoping believing and trusting that GOD can do wonderful and miraculous things in your life, And truly GOD is Faithful for HE has done Great things in me. I. have the worst experieced of hyperthyroidism to the extent of lossing my life, i was also overdosed of the medicine that the doctor gave me from then on I hate and avoided going to the doctor because they will onlly discouraged you that there is no cure of hyperthyroidism.I then started to change on my diet I stop eating process food, avoid all foods that contains iodized salt.learn to read the ingredients before you buy Stop ,eating in all fast food restaurants and i started eating only fruits, vegetables that are not bad for thyroid, chicken,fresh milk and oatmeal for breakfast and i make and drink ginger tea with lemon everyday and stay away from stress & the people that gives you stress. Now I am mostly recovered from the disease,Im back to my old self and looks, no more swelling of the eyes and neck as well as swelling in my body, no more palpitations and i gained weight already. Giving all my Thanks , Praises and Glory to GOD alone! GOD bless you and may your receive healing from JESUS as well.

      +Buddy Glynn WOW. The heart palpitations are a true headache. What helped me with them was when I went vegan/vegetarian and I had bare minimum processed sugar in my diet and exercise. Not sure if you still eat processed sugar but that guy was huge in the difference. Leaving processed sugar alone made all the difference in the world along with exercise. This was the same for the shakes. I hardly ever get shakes anymore but if I do have too much sugar I will get he palpitations. I hope this helps.

When I gain some weight then whenever my thyroid feels it wants to to be hyper active I tend to lose the weight 5’5 right now I weigh 107 pounds but I’m supposed to weigh about 125 but I’m tall and long so you can’t really see the 107 nor the 125 lol but yeah I’ve been suffering with this disease for a few years now I have medicine that I take for the thyroid is just putting a Band-Aid on top of the problem go figure right. But other than that I pray that everything is well with you and myself and I pray that God heal us together I’m just like you I love being active I love exercising and I love being adventurous but my thyroid definitely thrills my ability to stay active on my daily task and on my life so God bless you I will be praying for your faith.💕

    Hi Faith Ovens I really love your video, especially the way you explain everything about your hyperthyroidism. I really need your help on what kind Vitamins, Vegetables, Juice, and Fruits to eat. I have Hyperthyroidism too and I don’t know how to control it😢😢

      +Leoncia Sexton Hyperthyroidism sucks but you can definitely control it so that you feel good. If you eat anything with processed sugar... Cut it out of your diet... That alone will make a WORLD OF DIFFERENCE! If you eat meat cut it down to maybe once a day or every other day or once a week. Eat lots of greens, kale, salad, cucumber, carrots, basil, cilantro, beet root, tumeric, celery. I need to make a video on things to eat. You can buy frozen fruit and make smoothies... You can juice... I have juice recipes on my channel... Search Faith's Oven Juice. Vitamins... Magnesium is HUGE.. get you some... I LOOOOOVE ASHWAGANDHA... This helps control any type of stress. Most of us are low on Vitamin D... Definitely need this and Vitamin A. I also take Licorice root and holy basil. I'd rather take 50 vitamins a day then have to take medicine that usually causes a side effect. Anyway if you have a Sprouts near you this is where I find all of my vitamins at a reasonable price. This will probably cost you about $70 every two months or $35 a month. I think it's well worth it. Hope this helps

      You are so sweet!! 💞 Vitamin A will help with your hair. Mine had fell out something Terrible. I have been leaving my hair in twist so that I can leave it alone. That has helped... Hair is growing and getting thicker... Praise God... The hair shedding stressed me out too! I forgot to mention that I also take prenatal pills. They help also. You may want and boost and start taking some zinc

    Those supplements did you get it or the Dr. Giving?
    Do you take the dosis the bottle said or do you take more than that?

      +Isabel Posadas I got my vitamins on my own. I believe the doctors need to do more research. I added vitamin D and vitamin A to my supplements. Most of us are vitamin D deficient. Since adding those I feel stronger. I had got really weak. I do take the allotted dosages

    Faith Oven’s how did your neck get from swollen and back to normal? My neck is swollen? Oh and is juicing more better?

    • @FaithsOven
      @FaithsOven  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Leoncia Sexton I think my neck has it's days, sometimes swollen sometimes not... When I was super strict with my diet then that's when my neck isn't as swollen at all.

    You have the tipical short breath ... I have that, too ... Had the same symtoms... but I started with the meds, but lowered them and try to change diet and to do sports and prayer.

    We're you diagnosed with graves? You never took any prescription meds? My 18 yr old son just found out he has this they haven't started meds yet as he has no symptoms but his tsh is undetectable and t3 and t4 are only slightly high ultrasound showed multiple small cysts on thyroid but size normal and thickness
