BBC Light Programme news bulletins were usually aired hourly on the half hour, not on the hour as other radio stations.
This is the BBC Dark Programme - formerly the Light Programme, but all of our light bulbs have all blown - can’t get the staff!
@@arthurvasey I liked the sound of the BBC Light Programme. Better than Radio 1 or 2.
At 7 p.m They did The News in full and Radio Newsreel, so this is quite possible, as it was a Monday (RN was not broadcast at weekends)
