I've watched this several times now and it never gets old. Both fighters are great, love them both, and Stallone did an awesome job with this documentary.
Andy Ruiz may be born in the US but he is from Mexicali and people from here are wrought like cast iron, under the blazing heat literally, under the 130 degrees sun, nothing comes easy to us, you have to work hard for everything here, and yet we’re the kindest people you’ll find
@@diegochavez49ersWhen did he say that everything came easy to everyone else? All he said was that the Mexicans from Mexicali are built different and it's no secret that Mexicans are some of the hardest working people around.
An "Equilibrium touch" of the temple ( side of the brain) Like sculling down an Icy Coca Cola, Except this shuts down Your connectors to Your Body, and Legs are the First to Go
You can tell Andy Ruiz was giving Josh time to recover and not just finish him in his weakest moment, that’s how people from Mexicali are, we don’t go for the easy way cus we’re used to work extra hard for what we have, and also, we don’t like to take advantage of others, we want you to have the same chances so it can be a fair fight

This the best documentary of all of boxing, to have everyone's comments involved, the b&w and back and forth, the slow mo, the footage... The people from all areas. Speaking on what they saw... It's just flawless

When you add it all up this is probably the greatest of all heavy weight fights, at least for me. I've watched it at least 10 times from all angels and I finally saw what I was looking for. This is a great watch. Great commentary from all involved. And I'm not just saying this because it felt like Tyson was coming out from the screen to fight me if I didn't.
I remember this fight - it inspired me then - watching it now I'm even more inspired. Andy is a real fighter. He's got great skills and his speed is uncanny for a big man. And he can take a punch and keep coming forward. He looks like a fat slob, but he is the epitome of "Don't judge a book by its cover." Despite his body shape, he has incredible stamina and can trade leather at a fast pace for 12 hard rounds. This fight grew AJ as a fighter too. He endured such humiliation and he has come back with a renewed killer instinct. Fighting is a form of intimacy that exposes everything. It is the theatre of life and a mirror for all of us, for we are all, in some way, in the big fight - the fight of life.

The more you watch this and read about Ruiz the more you realize it was "a huge upset" only in the eyes of the mainstream media, who portray heavyweight champions as sculpted, tall, muscular and mostly black. Ruiz was 33-1 coming in and had NEVER been on the canvas. He had superb speed in his hands and had a good inside game. An upset against the odds and the media portrayals, yes. But not that big an upset when you put the fighters up against each other and strip away the narrative. Great commentary by Tyson, Balboa, and the others. Thanks.

Exactly what I thought. One dude looks like he was cybernetically put together and the other guy just walked into the ring after a 3 day bender.
What you should know is that we Mexicans love a cool beer. Ruiz is the best example of the Mexican spirit.
