This is the first 🥇 D&D game 🎮 I've ever played. I'm 40 years old & graduated in 2000. I played the 💩 outta this game for years. It was the first 🥇 game I started using game guides like neoseeker & gamefaqs. This game has been translated into every known language on the planet. I've also read some Japanese gamer once spent for years translating planescape torment into japanese as a downloadable mod on PC. It's officially hailed as the best RPG story ever told, the story of the nameless one. Back when you had to actually read stuff in-game & literally explore the world to advance the game 🎮
Actually TNO gets 1-10 hit points per level 1-9 no matter what class you are playing. Even as a mage TNO gets up to 10 points but only 2 extra for constitution bonus.
I played Torment tides of numinera a few times and its one of my favorite games. I tried to play this game but i struggled to get into it. I kept getting attacked by these thugs in town resulting in having to constantly chase down these fleeing enemies all over the map when their health got low. I gave up when i couldnt get past these enemies that kept obliterating me, and i couldnt see any way around them
You just convinced me to buy this off GOG for the princely sum of $7.29 AUD. I don't usually play these sorts of games but I love a great story and I need to use my noggin a bit more haha.
In 2nd edition DND a warrior with a strength of 18 will have the /XX added to further differentiate their strength. The percentile number is bracketed so 01-50 gives one bonus to damage, 51-75 one more and so on. It only applies to strength and only to warrior types, and only for 18. It's a bit of a strange rule really.
@@Vidargavia Then do I understand correctly that in order for a warrior to reach 19 points of strength, you need to score 18/99 before that? And then it will be 20, 21 and so on? It sounds rather strange, since it takes a lot of experience to achieve only ONE point, and 99 is a lot! For me, it sounds unattainable to reach 25 in strength as a warrior in this game.
My problem with this game is that I don't know we're I am supposed to go. It literally took me like 3 hours to get out of the starting building. Like wtf.. Afterwards, i haven't found the bar that I'm supposed to go to. I have walked around so much, I even made enemies. I haven't been able to do shit. But talk to alot of pointless people. Like wtf.. can some one help me out ?!
@@Vidargavia you literally hav a journal that tells you what to do & where to go the nameless on Even says "Updated my journal" every time you do anything. This is an RPG where you had to read everything, the game didn't tell you where to go or who to talk to with map/quest markers. This is literally Old school RPG , obviously you never played old school RPGs. Simply TH-cam guides or Google walkthroughs. Once you understand the game it is infact the greatest RPG story ever told

Vidargavia Makes sense. I thought you where trying to pass some specific early Charisma checks. You can cast friends then switch to your fighter spec. But that level of "gaming the system" can make the game less fun.
But no reason to be a fighter since you can switch back and forth. I switch to mage asap and upgrade Dak'kon, then I can switch back and forth whenever I want. The first couple of times I played it as a fighter, and frankly it doesn't really matter what class you choose in this game, but I think Mage is the better build.

For my first playthrough I want to play as a Fighter so I'll max out Wisdom, Intelligence and dump the rest of my points in Charisma. Lovely.

you don't need to invest anything in charisma, friends spell gives you all the charisma you'd ever need and charisma checks are pretty rare.

Weirdly no. Any 18 score can be raised to 19.
Generally any 19 or above score is considered super human btw.

Why dump 3 in charisma? Seems like you are throwing those points away. Especially since you are making a mage who can cast friends.

So this is basically a mage you're having people play the game as?
You can play as either class with these stats. I usually use Fighter myself. :)
