    Thanks for this information. In Uganda there are cultures where Ladys and girls kneel down to greet or serve food to elders. The elders are both women and men in this case. They also kneel when greeting or serving food to their husbands.

    Tell them bro. Preach it. Some Africans have attitude especially towards fellow Africans. It doesn’t cost you a thing to greet a stranger or simply reply their greeting.

    The baganda which is the biggest tribe in Uganda ( where the country got its name) we the ladies kneel for the elders and our husbands. Men only kneel for the king or someone in high authority in the buganda kingdom and at special occasions.
    It is showing respect to the person.

    Kneeling is a sign of respect in Buganda culture. Mostly by females to their parents, husbands and elders while greeting, giving or receiving something. Enjoy your stay Zack
