First I think it’s a bit overkill, but if doing to do it I’d want the accessory to be the same size as the original cover so pop off and store OEM cover and just install the new. I can’t see cutting my original nor ordering a new one to cut (that is storing the one that came on the car). I prefer a more subdued look and like the stock cover as is. I have a rubber trunk floor mat that has “Boss 302” painted on in white laying on top of the stock floor cover. It protects the OEM cover. This cover is bordering on being gaudy, imo, but I prefer understating. Looking at a side profile of my Boss what jumps out is the Matte Black 4 post pedestal rear spoiler, SHR Qtr Window louvers, and extended front splitter. The front Blowfish tow loop bracket doubles as license plate holder. From rear can see the Boss 302 registry decal bottom center of window, and Boss 302 license surround (at night, 3rd brake light Boss 302 stencil shows on braking). Open trunk, empty see the black rubber Boss 302 stenciled floor mat and from correct angle the Steeda cross-cross brace. I just can’t see adding any more visuals.🤷🏼♂️
