I remember watching this film clip back in early 2004 on Recovery on Triple J and it stuck with me. I was working in a crappy Real Estate job at the time and I could totally relate to Takeshi's plight. It made me wonder how he ended up in Australia in the first place; how he managed to end up ensnared in the corporate quagmire like he did; how he'd spent so long without communicating with _anyone_ from his homeland, to the point where he felt ill because of it. ...It was at that moment that I realized all the questions I was asking of Takeshi were the same I should have been asking of myself. I had no idea how I ended up in that Real Estate job and how I'd given so much of myself to it when I didn't really get anything back and how I'd moved so far away from my family and my home in order to do it. It was a Saturday morning and I had a bit of a cry to myself but I was grateful for it because it was the final straw that made me decide to give it up and go back home. And to this day, I'm positive it was the right choice. I'm not sorry about what I did, I'm not ashamed of the decision I made and I'm not going to try and blame Alex Lloyd for 'influencing me to make bad decisions'. This song reminded me where my true interests lay, nothing more.

to me this clip is just a lead up to the story at the start.. the jump at the end off the cliff, temporary flight or falling..the one moment where he felt free. (like his aunt) the entire work-up until that moment portrays daily life. you have to work for what you want and need. but my interpretation could be completely wrong.. its just my opinion..
