bikes should not be locked, thats dangerous. you wouldnt lock a car speed either. ppl just need to stick to the propper speeds, if you need to overtrun you need power.
Hi Brian, wow, that's a very cool e-bike you have there! It appears to be very well-built and has good speed too. I like what I see here, and it's nice to get extra help on steep slopes or longer bike rides. Take care, Brian, and have a lovely evening.
@@JohnColgan. wrote "Even ordinary pedal cycles are capable of exceeding 30mph without battery assistance" only downhill unless you are a very fit cyclist, and certainly not on this 26.5Kg machine. Most of us can't do more than 20mph (32Kmh) for more than a few seconds. Just about no-one is doing 30mph on their pushbike. And the point is that e-bikes have a legal speed (15.5mph/25kmh ) beyond which no e-assistance is allowed and you do indeed have to go faster under your own steam. That is the difference between something you can use in cycle lanes and something which is a 'moped', needing tax, insurance, and a crash hat and _not_ being allowed in cycle lanes. There has to be a cut-off between 'bike' and 'moped/motorbike' somewhere. The current rules are about right for this. People selling mopeds that look like e-bikes and telling their customers that they are e-bikes is a problem.

@@SneezingEagle Thanks. So it's available within the bike's own menu? Thought it might be necessary to take it to a bike shop for modification or it required some unofficial hack downloaded from the interwebs.
People, if you have a EV bike, and, if you have to take a elevator up to where you live, please do not take the battery up in a elevator FFS, seen a battery explode on video and the person could not escape the elevator, terrible...
If you can 'Unlock it' then frankly, it shouldn't be for sale in the UK.
Unlocked eBikes can be used full power on private ground, same as Segways
@@JohnColgan. Yeah, because there are so many big gardens over in our local housing estate. Stupid loophole that needs fixing

Looks like fun. How do you unlock it to go faster?
Press and hold the up and down buttons to get to advanced menu, press power button to scroll through till you see p08 then change that to 67

@@blutey yes it's all software locked on device, there's some instructions online that go through the whole menu. Pretty easy to do!
As many others have said, this bike is not legal on public roads!

carful with the $5 tires.
Don't charge anywhere near something you don't want burned down.
Where is manufactured??
China.
Guangdong
How fast without peddling.
30 mph when unlocked
So riding an e-bike on the pavement is ok for you then.
Nothing but derailer problems. You will be angry with the oversized tires.
Not bad, it's allmost as powerful as mine, but I built mine pretty much from scratch, you just got to know which wires go where.
For lazy people only.😂
Why are you promoting crap from cheena???
Poor components
