For TH-cam I totally agree but for printing images 20x30 inches an upscale helps to start the progress but you must resize to 300dpi on PS before using any upscaler as it will not add increase pixel size.
Good to know! Even dpi can be like 1200 dpi! why not? of course, it will be bigger size.
It simple keeps more information for using an upscaler. I use topaz and when you input a large pixel size it won’t enlarge but saving the original size at 300dpi seems to increase and reduces artificial artefacts. It’s all trail and error. 😊
