    Similar design principle to the Stadler built Class 745 and 755 trains we have on Greater Anglia - articulated suspension and step-free level boarding by means of a retractable ramp. Great for a person in a wheelchair, parent with a child in a buggy, or someone getting on with a bicycle! Just hope though the seats will be more comfortable than the seats on the Stadler trains in East Anglia...

    I see that train floor level is presented fully aligned with the platform level, is this possible? Can the train levelling system compensate the primary suspension compressed spring when train is loaded? If an unloaded train's floor is aligned with platform then a loaded will be below platform due to primary suspension compression.

    • @RedKnight-fn6jr
      @RedKnight-fn6jr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think that floor dishes are being introduced - from what I can see, ramps will profile the floor up over the bogeys while allowing for platform level access in the door circulation areas - this is an alternative method to the platform humps being introduced on the London Underground.

So many millions spent and 20% plus of the passengers ignored. Are there charging points for powerchairs. Bike chargers after e-bike ad e-scooters being banned for bursting into flames on TFL tube services and now banned from all TFL services.

    …And still no rail link to Dublin Airport. This was promised in 1983 when plans for the original DART were launched.
    40 years on it’s quite the international embarrassment. But it’s all politically motivated considering the Luas runs through Ballyogan to serve Leopardstown race course.

    • @ceilingsandfloors
      @ceilingsandfloors ปีที่แล้ว

      The Airport Link is part of the Metro North plan. The Green Line goes by Leopardstown Racecourse because it was built directly on the alignment of the old Harcourt Street line which predates the existence of the Racecourse itself. It has nothing to do with political motivations.

    More plastic rubbish to clog up the Irish railways. Experience in the UK (and the rest of Europe no doubt) says they'll need refurbishing every 3 - 5 years or so because the interiors are so cheaply made and seating provides little to no comfort for the travelling public. They probably spent more on the propaganda film than the interiors of these trains.
