Cheers Pooley - been saving this for when the weather is really crap! (… and it’s now really crap!) and watching you guys riding in the sun is a real tonic👍👍
I still can't believe I did a Europe tour. I've never been abroad in my life beforehand and it seems so surreal I've done it now, and on a 20 year old Deauville no less! Tune in for more fantastique episodes every week 😉
Damm you Pooley, you are making me so jealous. I had ferry booked to go to the Alps in June 2020 on my 700 Deauville and we all know what happened that year!!! I no longer have my Deauville so it not going to happen on that bike. It looks like you had a terrific time and got to say never saw Bradford look like that 👍 My Deauville was so smooth at speed (I know, Deauville and speed haha) and never had any unstable issues, might be worth checking everything is aligned, straight and balanced. Looking forward to the next episode.
It's funny you should mention that, as when I got my passport in Feb 2020 for a solo Europe trip the same thing happened! Stay tuned for more as this is just scratching the surface of the tour... Also the unstable thing I was talking about could be down to the beansprout riding it, as when me and Ady swapped bikes later on in the trip he was just plodding along fine at a ton! Although the top box wasn't fitted during that part of the trip so that could also be a factor, he did say maybe the extra ballast helped out 🤣🤣 definitely tune in to that episode when it comes out, it's quite a laugh 😃
It gets a lot more brilliant in the next few episodes Charlie, wait till you see the mountains!!! Stay tuned every week for a new episode and thanks for watching 😁
Eh up, nice one Pooley, been waiting for these. Would swop your weather there for here right now 💦 Nothing better than a group ride out with mates, sharing experiences and having a laugh Rear 360 camera looks good, if that’s just stuck on straight out the box then it’s a winner 👍
Thanks! We got incredibly lucky during the trip and the only rain we had was when Pooley was catching his forty-winks 😴 I played around throughout the tour with the camera angles with the 360 camera, so expect to see some more creative angles on future episodes. I was very impressed with it overall, very easy to mount and use and most of all... reliable! Not like GoPros mind you 🤣 Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy the episodes to follow 👍
Looking forward to the rest of your tour. I must pull my finger out and start editting my France tour. The translation of Deuville is- deu meaning two and ville meaning town- it's as wide as two towns😉😁
Thanks Bilious, really appreciate you checking the first episode out! It took me 5 weeks to edit the series so I understand putting a project like it off 😆 I was expecting to get chucked in with the cars and vans on the train with the size of the old girl, certainly a wide'n 🤣
Well done so far. So you weren't keen on those French pay motorways. They're not much fun but do the job of getting you across rural France quickly. Nice 360 shots, they are great if a little time consuming setting the view afterwards.
The Péage was a slog at best but does the job like you say. I think it cost about 40 quid altogether with what we travelled on it. The 360 camera definitely impressed me, combined with the reliability and out of the box performance I can't see myself buying another gopro after this (sold my Hero 7 Black to get the X2) Although you are bang on about setting the views, took an age to set up all the camera angles on the editing side of things but hopefully it pays off throughout the series as the footage is frankly fantastic 😉
Cheers Danny and thanks for watching! I played around with different angles throughout the tour so be sure to tune in throughout the series to see some absolutely fantastic views 😃
Cheers Noob, hope you enjoy! Derbyshire to Folkestone via motorway, over on the the Eurotunnel then Péage (French motorway) from Calais to Geneva. in other words, a lot of motorway! 😆 I think I talk about the journey so far in some of the earlier episodes in the series, be sure to check the chapters in each video 😁 Edit: found the timestamp 19:16 I chat a bit about the first few days of the tour that were unrecorded to give you an idea of what was involved in reaching Geneva 👍
@@Pooley650 yeah just found the bit of the video that explains it 😂 Seems like a nice group to ride with. I'm planning a tour for early August this year: Ardennes, Vosges, Black Forest and then meeting up with my local group for a bit of circuit action I France. Will be aiming to avoid the toll roads (peage)

Thanks, glad you still enjoyed the video without the commentary 🙂
Just catching up with this now. Great start. How did you get to Geneva, then?
