- Construction will begin soon on a series of updates that will improve the way you travel through the Domestic Terminal.
We will be introducing the latest generation security, improving the check-in and screening process for everyone and the dining experiences at the southern end of the Domestic Terminal will be transformed.
Behind the scenes, we will consolidate our baggage system in a major upgrade that will include over 100 separate phases to ensure we impact passengers and operations as little as possible.
Brisbane Airport is embarking on a $5 billion investment over the next decade in a series of expansions, improvements and development projects that will increase the airport’s capacity, boost sustainability, bring it up to required international security standards and improve its contribution of essential services for the people of Queensland. And it all begins with the Domestic Terminal Security Upgrade project.

It's going to look absolutely amazing when it's completely done
I’m biased, but I’ll claim BNE as the best airport in Australia.
Nearly, Canberra is good and better for just the purpose of flying but boring as for anything else!
I do hope some money will be used for the plane spotting community. Check out what ZRH or Zuerich airport has to offer, now that would be fantastic.
I absolutely agree

T3 should have large windows to look out over Moreton Bay ... great for on arrival and in departure areas 👍
Can we have an automated pod system to link the Terminals to the outer carparks? A bit like what they have at heathrow, would be very convenient.
Please, please supply new/ clean security screening trays. 🙏 After COVID chaos was gone, they were forgotten.😢
I hope a new dedicated plane spotting area is created because plane spotting in Brisbane can sometimes be a nightmare
I like the user friendly and cozy design
Some day some airport will invent tape mazes at check points that don’t make you walk back and forth when there are few waiting. It’s a torture device for the frail and sight impaired. Even clear hi viz marking where the bloody things start would help.
Wonderful project 👍👌
Whatever happened to the original master plan where the domestic terminal would loop around in the same style and basically be 3 terminals of the same design connected together? I'm not a fan of how it's becoming ad-hoc.
One concern I have is the “carry on only” section. What if someone didn’t check in online? There would have to be a few of those automated kiosks.
Please make sure bathrooms all have kids sized toilets. Also a lego area would be great like Taipei airport.
So, once you're through, it's the same.

What about the International Terminal it desperately needs an upgrade? Please 🙏
There’s a video coming soon! I can’t wait! 3rd terminal might come as well!
Agree, our international airport needs a serious upgrade, it looks very very tired. It's a bit of an embarrassment in its current form. Forget the domestic for now, that doesn't showcase our wonderful city as much as an international would. Got the new runway, just need to follow up with a new intl terminal. Makes sense.
@@kinqxx1 do you know when the video is coming? Also where did you hear about it, I'm keen to take a look
@@benja0492 I’m not sure but fingers crossed that it will come soon 🤞
The international terminal is alright but airports like Melbourne or Sydney gives that feeling that your about to go on vacation
I think there should be no need to walk out to the tarmac for any aircraft carrying more than 20 people. There doesn't seem to be a solution for that yet ? Most older people don't do stairs or steps very well, and they wouldn't require help to board if this was rectified
Hi Judy, thanks for your question. There are bussing lounges underway at both terminals to improve the passenger experience and safety at both terminals including air conditioned waiting areas. Cheers, Kaylah
@@brisbaneairport Is a bussing lounge somewhere to go while waiting for a bus ? If so, it still means that stairs need to be climbed to reach the plane, is that not thae case ? I'm baffled.
Interesting showing only Qantas/Jetstar planes ....
if you look around, you'll see a few others.
Couple Alliance planes, which are also part of Qantas..😢
@H33RZ Keep looking - Rex and Virgin are there as well
Alliance aren’t part of Qantas. The deal was rejected
What I see here is people losing jobs at the check in counters so companies save money paying staff and have customers do all the work.
Can't wait for my $25 stale sandwich. Such a rubbish design. You've just turned it into a very ordinary airport terminal.
Its your fault for purchasing a $25 sandwich.
