The trick on Raptor liner is keeping your gun 14" away from the surface. Also on your second coat go in the opposite direction and blow it or fog it on instead of using a traditional back and forth spray gun pattern. The black will look tough on the bronco!!
Hey Jon, That didn’t turn out bad at all. I see the difference in the paint spraying but you can’t tell it from my house. Something we used to say way back in the day. Really, it does look good. Must be nice to get the cap painted. It’s 50+ here today and low 60s tomorrow. Still a little early for this. Gotta go and try to fix my rear wiper motor on my Trailblazer. Frozen and won’t budge. Looking forward to the paint on the big boy! As long as Mother Nature cooperates. Getting there, Enjoy the weather, stay safe, Bill
I restore vehicle for a living here in Ohio currently restoring 2 Broncos at the same time (did not plan that) one for a customer and one with my 15 year old son (first car) I like how honest you are with your experience btw the truck looks great and your Bronco is looking good. I also collect Tags and Signs send me and address and I'll hook you up with a tag. Keep up the good work
The reason you have the tiger stripes is because you were trying to paint it like a car. The liner needs to be sprayed in small overlapping sections. Its a pita doing the tops with it.
I have a question could you ever make it video explain it to us how to get into the mass flow air swap on a obs 351w 302cuz a lot of people seem to ask him they don't have a lot of information
What degreaser after sanding did you use? I have sanded my truck top and now have fine material to get up prior to spraying the Raptor gray UP4855 tintable material. Thanks a bunch.
Awesome video. Im about to buy some raptor liner for a short bed camper shell 5ft, In your case did you find the 2 bottle kit sufficient or would you recommend the 4 bottle kit.
@@TheFoxShop haha it's all good. I ended up finding a good deal on the 4 bottle kit for the same price as the 2. So a win win if anything, wish me luck.
You can slightly...and actually I think I may have gone the wrong way. In editing the video I think I saw what I was doing wrong. Will bring that up in the next video

The fogging at the end is crucial for paint line hiding. We use that method is spraying Metallics on car paint jobs
Getting ready to paint my newly acquired 91 Bronco. I like the look of the raptor lined top. Reminds me of the old vinyl tops back in the day.
What color?
@@TheFoxShop it's a Silver anniversary model with the currant red. But I'm thinking dark black cherry pearl.

Looks nice. Stripe is your original pass on the top and then worked back towards yourself.
Awesome job! Looking forward to the rest!
Thanks! Coming soon!
Looking good can't wait to see it all painted bronco gonna look once it's all done 👍 the top looks 100 times better black then white
Looking great spring is here. Well I’m sure we will get a couple cold days but the grass has begun to green up
Truck sure sounds great! 🔊
Yes, yes it does! LOL 😆.
Great job brother! God bless!
Looks good, waiting to see the finished project
You've inspired me to get at my Bronco top. I'm definitely checking into the Rhino liner.
Looking good so far sitting here smoking a pork roast and watching the fox shop enjoying this beautiful weather. Keep up the great videos

Any updates on how this held?
That looks so awesome! That top paired with the blue body of the bronco is going to look fantastic!👍
Gonna look sharp!
Looks great!!
Cant Wait to See the Contrast with That Grabber Blue!
How has the black color lasted in the sun? Looks like a good finish in the video, I plan to do this to my top soon.
Looks good Fox!!!
Looks good! I hope its not on too thick where it could cause problems putting the trims back in
Don't think so.. All good 👍
Why did you paint it with raptor liner iam getting ready to paint my 96 bronco
Did you sand it down and use primer? Also how much bedliner did you use?

@@Beandiptheredneck same here to I got a 1992 5.8 it runs good and everything but I'm looking into like maybe going now to MAF
Did you get the windows back in?

Was and grease remover from O'Reilly's
@@TheFoxShop Great. Thanks. Do you think Dawn soap would do the save thing? It's a dish degreaser right?
I think it would leave behind a residue... I wouldn't use it.
How many bottles did it take?
I don't remember lol... might have said in the video.. can't think more than one.. Maybe two
Awesome video. Im about to buy some raptor liner for a short bed camper shell 5ft, In your case did you find the 2 bottle kit sufficient or would you recommend the 4 bottle kit.
Think two would be enough..would actually have to rewatch the video to see what I used lol

Once it weathers a little bit noone will notice anyways looks good.
One step closer.
What psi did you run?
Really don't remember.. I know I said it in the video though
I would leave it as is too. I think you would be asking for trouble trying to do any more with it.
That's what I thought! 😄
If there were some way to fan that gun out a little more - but it looks great.

Hi Jon great video 😊 What muffler do you have on the 150 it sounds sweet 👍
True duals, no cats, 2.5" pipe all the way back.. And glass packs but don't remember way brand without going back and looking lol. 😂
@@TheFoxShop
Thanks for your response
@@gregpepple423 I did the whole exhaust myself, wasn't too bad. No muffler shop around here would remove the cats
Yup yup
Top looks great Jon! 🦊 I cant stand all this time change B/S 🤬 lol
I like the time change we have now. Leave it!! I would maybe vote for a president that would get rid of changing our clocks!! LOL 😆.
@@TheFoxShop 😂 no joke, leave it be lol
