Thank you, I was confused about the relationships of categories and pages and menus, now I see it's simple, make a post assign it to a category and make sure the category is added to the menu! Simple!

I do have one question though. When you click on a specific page on a menu on the website, it shows the word category before the name of that specific page. For example, on the website, the name of the page shows as "Category: Food" instead of just showing "Food"

instead of creating a page, i create a category and then i can add posts to that category. this is perhaps a good way to create an ongoing comic strip that grows with each post. can i make a category in the menu the landing page? in other words can i make a category the home page?
