Wow first time seeing how tahu telor is cooked. One of my favourites. Thanks. Your channel was recommended by one youtuber. Not disappointed. Super cooking.
I remember first time coming to Singapore work as maid 18 years ago I was in deep trouble for not knowing how speak English and how to cook . I keep get scolded non stop and Almost give up and wanted to return home . But my employer mother in-law telling me ur madam will never change for you so u must change urself and find away how to improve ur relationship with ur boss . I start learn basic English from reading newspapers and looking for book receipe but most All time failed cos of ingredients to complicated and taste my employer don’t really like. After I found ur Chanel i get exited to try start from chicken wing , sate , sate sauce , laksa , fried rice , crispy beancurd prawn, prawn 🍤, fried rice , Tahu goreng And my employer said taste so delicious. And finally my relationship with my employer improved . And now they are satisfied with my cooking . Thanks you so much sir.
Most importantly you did not give up . once you learn and figure out how its made . i cooked for my family at 11. I just followed my mom around and wrote the recipes in my book. Marinating makes food tastier. Then methods : quick stir fry. Deep fry. Steam. Or boil then simmer. Now you can google anything n magical instructions and recipes available in seconds I knew a cook who joked. Use Soy sauce for Asian. . Wine for french. Ketchup for American my favorite sauce is basil, garlic and coconut milk... Goes well with my own version of Thai- Indonesian dishes including pasta. Give it a try. And keep it your secret lol. Have fun.
I missed this dish from Hjh Maimunah. Never been to Sanur. Maybe because my family likes to go Hjh Maimunah and that’s where I fell in love to this dish. Since MCO, this dish had been in my mind and I saw Umi Saadah making this a few days ago! And I said to myself, i need this! And I found your channel. Thank you for sharing.
I used store bought rojak sauce (any brand) and added extra crushed peanuts. Then added the egg coated tofu pieces, blanched bean sprouts, cucumber/cabbage slices, fried garlic chips and daun sup. A souped up tahu goreng.
This food is originally from my town! N my mom used to cook this for me...i'm proud that this simple food is so popular even you make the video of it. Millions of Thank you! U made my day
Hi. Thanks for the recipe. We used to have this dish at "Sanur". Singapore. But they're no more there. Am gonna try to make this for my family. We miss this Tauhu Telur so much....Thank you Spice N Pans!!!!
Good morning! You’re early 😋 We love Sanur too! Tell you a secret, I used to work there as a waitress when I was a student waiting for O level results. Hi Elsa&Lisa. It’s served as shown but before we dig in, we will pour the sauce over the tauhu telur (translated as Tofu Egg in English). Then we use a fork and spoon to serve the goody into our mouth. Hehe. Yum! Our favourite Indonesian dish!
I like tahu telur. I can't wait to try to make this at home. Just wondering how "syrupy" is that sauce? ^_^ like kecap manis type or sugar Syrup type or more watery?
Hi Ingrid. Thank you so much for watching our video 🙏🙏🙏 yes you’re right, the consistency of the sauce is a little towards kechap manis type but not as sticky as kechap manis though. Hope this helps. Happy cooking!

I think it may be more convenient to do the reduction of the serving sauce before the frying of the tauhu.
+Juniper Chew Hi Juniper. Yeah we think so. This is to ensure that your tahu telok remains Crispy.

+herni setiawan Really? Please enlighten us. Thanks in advance!
Spice N' Pans Shrimp paste..but most of the people. They don’t like shrimp Paste..
Yea it's not a proper tahu telor without the petis

This is Singapore's style
The original Indonesia's used Petis udang or Shrimp Paste for the sauce, and we eat it with Rice Cake or Lontong
