  • Hey folks, it's John Struckman from Pro Approach Bowling. Today, let's chat about why taking care of your bowling ball is a game-changer.
Top-Notch Performance: A clean ball is a happy ball! When your ball's in good shape, it performs better on the lanes, giving you more strikes and spares.
Tournament Prep: Got a big event like the California State Tournament coming up? Don't overlook maintenance! It's your ticket to consistent, reliable shots when the pressure's on.
Versatility is Key: Want more hook? Or maybe a smoother roll? Adjusting your maintenance routine-cleaning, sanding, or polishing-can dial in your ball's performance to match any lane condition.
Expert Tips: Not sure where to start? Swing by your local pro shop. They've got the know-how to set you up for success based on your playing style and the lanes you'll be facing.
So, whether you're a league regular or a tournament titan, remember: a little TLC for your ball goes a long way. Head to your pro shop, get it cleaned, sanded, or polished, and let's roll some strikes together!

Very good video. Question what about urethane? Since that’s a different surface versus reactive I just got a pitch black and I’m using it for strikes and gonna throw it straight for spares. What type of maintenance do you recommend for that?

      Thank you! Appreciate it!
A good overall surface would be to sand at 500 then finish with a 2000. Should be pretty versatile with the urethane for you.
      Thanks for watching!
