  • Travel from BKK Suvarnabhumi airport to Pattaya for less than $10.
I think this is the best way due to price. If you take the plane route you will still have to find a ride to your hotel.
Sorry for the poor camera work. This is my first TH-cam video.
Please comment and let me know how I did and where I can improve.
Also include how you would get to Pattaya from BKK.
My overall mission is to use my videos to show people the world.
Hopefully this will help travelers along the way to find affordable accommodations.
And LIKE, SHARE, SUBSCRIBE. I will be posting more videos about every other week.

i just did this 3 days ago, with a transfer to my hotel, great stress free mode of transpertation. However the bus ride was pretty rough, almost rear ended a truck that pulled in font of us. All in all, it was good

Glade you made it safe. As for the bus ride sometimes you get good smooth drivers and other times you get lead foots or not so good drivers. Still in my opinion it is the best and conveniently affordable way and takes the hassle out of hailing a taxi or riding the baht bus (pick up trucks). And the time you have before boarding the bus can be used to go purchase some snacks or food while you wait. Safe travels my friend.

Thanks for this video and also showing the South Pattaya bus station and mini bus to hotels. So when you paid the extra 100thb at the airport counter is that when you give your hotel info and they relay that to the mini bus driver in Pattaya? Our group of 4 will have med to large check in size luggage and backpacks or totes as a personal item, so I can see where this full size bus is a better option plus it has an onboard toilet, in case. Hopefully the earlier buses like 7 or 8:00 am won't be as crowded. our flight arrives at 5:00 am.

Yes you provide the hotel name and how many passengers at the ticket counter during your purchase. When you arrive at the bus terminal in Pattaya you will see your hotel on a board with number of passengers.

Yes Steve, you are correct and can go out to the street and hail a cab. That’s the thing though. Sometimes you will be waiting for a bit depending on when you arrive Sat the bus terminal. I’ve spent some time trying to hail a cab in Bangkok and Pattaya. While some get lucky and get one immediately others may have a hard time hailing one. When we made the decision to go with the bus and pay the extra 100 we were looking for cheap and convenient. If I had it my way we would have taken the private car. But the wife wanted the experience of riding the bus so we did just that. Safe travels my friend.

I’m not sure but average price for private taxi would be around 1000-1300 baht. Last time I did that was a private minibus and if my memory serves me correctly it was around 1000 baht. But that was several years ago. I will have to get back to you on that. I like have the convenience of the restroom just in case I need it. I would have to direct you to one of the booths outside at the airport. There’s also private electric vehicles (EV) for over 2000 baht.

Good info. But if you have to find cheap ways to get to Pattaya you can't afford to go there. Besides that, it will only take you to Pattaya bus station and you will have to get a very pricy cab to take you to your hotel once there. By the time you mess about just take a cab from the airport.

So you take a busride with departure time delayed several hours, moving over into a van, costing 300 per head to avoid getting into a taxi that would cost you maybe 1500, and then you go stay in the Hilton. In what world does that make any sense.

    • @phonsavanhtravel
      @phonsavanhtravel  ปีที่แล้ว +2

Sounds crazy right?! I looked at all modes of transportation from Luang Prabang, Laos to Pattaya earliest flight would get me into Pattaya at 1800 and wife wanted to experience the bus ride. I wanted her in a private car but she said no so that’s what we did. I told her she would have to vehicle hop but she was adamant about the bus and you know (happy wife happy life) and I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to make this video. As for the Hilton I used my Hilton honors points for our stay. Safe Travels!

Thank you for your comment Dan. I love the engagement as it sparks debate. You are correct it is less than $10. When we were there the exchange rate was 32.65 to $1 US dollar. We paid an extra 100 baht for the shuttle to the hotel. So 300 baht came out to $9.18 cents so it’s less than $10. Safe travels.

I think I understand what you’re referring to. Yes, scams are all over regardless of where you go in this world. Just have to do your research. But Thailand has really ramped up the regulation to protect tourists. As for the booths in the airport that booth is legit. And the bus company that partner with them along with price is fair. The taxi are a different story. I always ask for the meter. Feel free to ask any questions you may have. If I don’t have the answer I will definitely try and find it to put your kind at ease. I have family in that part of the world and have the need to visit them regularly. Stay safe and safe travels.
