Holy shatner, I'm really blown away, man! Just outstanding! Can't believe how much work you put into this! And you're really funny! So much cool history and info. I didn't want the video to end! Thank you so much for including my artwork! This is already motivating me to work harder on the new drawings. Can't wait for the next one.
Thanks Mr. S, very high praise! Really glad you like what we did here, and that we were able to spotlight your gorgeous art for folks to fall in love with, the way way we at SpeekyGeeky have. Folks are really in for a treat with episode 2 coming up right around the corner (though because this is sesame themed wouldn't that technically be 456 sesame street where the furry arms is located) :)
And amazing Mumford 😂 Awesome, I totally forgot him to, wow. And I actually did not realize all this history of Oscar the Grouch. The Jim Henson figure is a great idea - and for the record, I can’t help wondering if Frank Oz would also make a great addition lol. Great video SpeekyGeeky!!
And we're only just getting started, quite a bit more ground to cover, and we hear you loud and clear on a frank oz figure...you'll be happy to know we very much share your sentiments and are pretty certain you'll enjoy our upcoming episodes as well :)
Speeky, this Sesame Street video of yours is a sensational explanation of why a Sesame Street toy line is essential! Your ideas for the toy line are amazing and inspirational! I need to come prepared with tissues when watching your videos because they tear me up as I nostalgically remember childhood television and cartoon characters. I love your Sesame Street toy line and international version suggestions as I can see them as a dream come true for children and parents from all over. I can see them falling in love with the human Jim Henson creator toy, fire red furry Elmo doll, an Amazing Mumford figurine embedded inside a toy peanut butter sandwich, a Telly Monster figure which needs to come equipped with scalene, isosceles and equilateral triangular blocks or Legos to help children learn geometry and build their own people and places from it, and I absolutely love your suggestion of an Oscar the Grouch with faceplates showing varying degrees of grouchiness as I know seeing them would help me laugh out of my own occasional crabbiness and I would add in faceplate templates with the Oscar the Grouch toy for children to draw and paint their own feelings and display their paintings on the walls and shelves! I do have a request along the lines of the noise-making Funelle Furchester. While watching your video, I thought of how there must be a Count von Count toy and request for the Sesame Street toy developers to hire you and record your voicing of Count von Count's counting of numbers for inserting into him, so that he would count when pressed! Your Sesame Street storybook read alongs have prepped you perfectly for the role! 🔊👏
so thoughtful as always, very much appreciate your kind words and taking the time to put together such wonderful feedback. I LOVE the extra Oscar faceplate that would allow folks to create their own too based on how they are feeling, really neat idea. Thanks as always for your continued support and thoughtful words :)
Thank you, Speeky, for your own friendliness and generosity that you share with us and all your beyond brilliant and inventive content that brings back such happy memories of childhood! I had typed it before, but it is so easy to support you and Little Geek-E as you both have a sparkling heart of golden compassion! I have much more support for you when we team up though as it will not just be dull type on a page but excitement when I exclaim your praise! ;)
Super Grover!! I forgot all about that lol! Hearing all these characters being discussed like Sherlock Hemlock and others is so great, the idea of their becoming figures -🤯 Also the possibilities like things from The Storyteller TV show 👍
You know what? I would love it if they were smaller like the puppet master figs. 2 packs would fly off the shelves. And to have them in scale with other figures …maaaaaan
thanks for taking the time to check us out! Lots more fun content on the channel I am sure you'll enjoy. Do you have a favorite Sesame Street character you are hoping to see in the series?
I really like the idea of a Henson line. Most of them would be two-packs. It should go like this: Series 1 1. Kermit and Miss Piggy 2. Ernie and Bert 3. Gobo and Uncle Traveling Matt w/ 2 Doozers 4. Jen and Kira w/ Fizzgig Series 2 1. Fozzie Bear and Gonzo w/ Camilla 2. Elmo and Cookie Monster 3. Red and Wembly w/ 2 Doozers 4. Hoggle and Firey Bird Box Sets - 1. Big Bird and Little Bird 2. Statler and Waldorf 3. skekSil Chamberlain and skekUng Emperor What do you think so far?
So glad to hear Super 7's making a real line of Sesame figures. While I'm definitely disappointed with the way Super 7 is handling Muppets, I remain optimistic that they know what they're doing. Hope to see some ultimates!
I am still hopeful we'll see some ultimates muppet love (though I absolutely picked up all the reaction preorders so far) as well from them, but I am quite certain Super 7 will knock the sesame characters out of the park
@@SpeekyGeeky Im looking forward to see what's going to happen with the Muppet license, I'll probably only try to pick up the standard variants. Im not too pleased with the awkward glitter figures that their making, $50 for two is a bit much.
im so excitedand about that line from neca, i really want to see grover and mr johnson and maybe some accessory pack from them too, i hope that you will make some video about neca sesame street and you will make your own wishlist
this all sounds fantastic and couldn't agree more with those choices, good call! I do have another Sesame Street deep dive in the works, so stay tuned! We appreciate you taking the time to check out our channel and that you took the time to geek out with us for a bit. We think you'll really dig our selections for the next episode, some characters you'd expect and some you likely won't see coming, it should be a lot of fun!
I really do feel they would need to dig deeper in the past to generate nostalgia in wave 1. Wave 1 needs to be a home run. Elmo is not a home run for the target audience.
I don't entirely disagree, but in order to bridge both demos, I think he is probably still needed to energize those newer to the franchise. It def is about being a love letter to the long-time fans, but also important to have something for the modern fans so they can learn for the first time about some of these incredible characters we longtime fans got to grow up with and gain more of an appreciation for :) I don't have any ill-will for Elmo, but yes, I agree, I'd love to have been able to bring in "sherlock Hemlock" or "forgetful jones" or "frazzle" right off the bat....but we'll get there, and it will be awesome :)
And when I say that someone would find the sesame street palisades figures I mean find the sesame street palisades series figures of big bird with little bird, ernie, oscar the grouch, the 2 headed monster, and guy smiley, and even bert
You know I just wish the sesame street palisades figures would be found and would be available on ebay if anyone found the the palisades sesame street action figures I hope they find them and sell them on ebay for the right price
Ha, we don't even know who all the choices are yet. Are you saying you wouldn't buy Sesame Street characters in general? Or just the ones on the cover? Correct me if I'm wrong @speekygeeky but I've seen in a lot of Geeky's other videos he doesn't show everybody on the cover. Regardless, I totally respect that not everything is for everyone, I can only say for me, that I would 100% buy any one of these options shown, seems like someone for everyone
I'm excited you are giving this some thought, make sure to check it out on Monday, I'd be interested to hear if that "who knows" part had shifted at all, there will def be some surprises in the bunch, and not all are shown. Who is your favorite sesame street character? (doesn't need to be one shown here, this is just part 1, so very likely could still be discussed in an upcoming episode)

the top 5 sesame street fig I would like is...Cookie monster, Baby Big Bird, Barkley, Egyptian Ernie, and a make your own muppet.
Love these picks, all solid choices, Egyptian Ernie has always been a major favorite of ours as well :)
I love it when we get to see Oscar out of his can

My favorite Muppet is Oscar the grouch
Oscar is a treasure, guessing you appreciated this episode in particular then :)

Super7 is doing sesame street
Yes indeed, incredibly exciting news, just in time for part 2 of the series that will be coming out shortly with some brand new options, stay tuned :)
We'll also be doing an interview shortly with Super 7's Sesame Street designer Nomi Kane very soon, should be a blast
