I saw her in Memphis a few years back. Margo does not disappoint. Michael, I love your react videos. Your explanations help me better appreciate music I already love and (hopefully) make me a better musician.
I met Alex Munoz who produced this album this past summer in Lexington. Really nice guy. Didn't know who he was at all for a while, he just caught me sitting outside listening to Prine outside of the hotel and struck up a conversation. Really wished I'd gotten to see the show.
Great vid and brilliant track. If you're off to see these you should have a belting time. There's a bit when you're breaking down the guitar solo (that diad run down), way you slow it down and play it is reminiscent off CCR fortunate son. Have a great new year chief.
So happy you’re heading to PITS! I’m going 2nd weekend - sure would have been cool to jam with you. Something tells me we’ll get to hang one of these days! Psyched to check out all the support acts.
Another great singer from Nashville these days is Nicole Atkins. Girl can belt it and her past two soul albums are fantastic. I really like St. Dymphna, Domino, and Brokedown Luck. During live shows, her guitar player turns that fuzz up a decent amount too, especially for the music being the funky soul rock stuff. They killed it when I saw them cover What is and What Should Never Be.
Love the videos. I know I haven't gone through proper submission processes, but why no Guthrie Govan?? Any video would be incredible, and everything is generally improvised. Keep it up!
I watch these vids quite a bit but i think this is the first time ive grabbed a guitar and joined in. Margos great, the band were shithot and your breakdowns too. Gotta love some country twang.
Love her, love the song, I grabbed MT ukulele and could follow some of what you were doing. Grateful no one hears this but me, but I am finding some if those notes on my own. 💕🎶 About Margo, Tweet from August: *the band and I were having a hard time finding a bus driver who’s vaccinated so we just canceled the bus last minute and I decided to hop in my pick up truck and drive to the gig myself because I’m a down ass bitch 😎 8:21 PM · Aug 27, 2021*
Completely skipped over the harmonica player. Every musician on stage was mentioned for what they contributed except for the harmonica player. That's too bad.
You know what, I thought about the harmonica player many times while filming and as soon as I finished I thought “why didn’t I say anything about the harp player?” These are done live w no edits so they’re all imperfect !
Love the "Mama Tried" ending. Little tip of the hat to Mr. Haggard.
Yup!!
Merle Haggard passed away a few days before her performance on SNL, so this was a little tribute to him. @@Guitargate
She did an interview where she talked about her SNL appearance and said she was very hungover when she performed. She still killed it.
I'd love to see the Dead again. Gonna have to plan it next time they're in the DC/Bmore area.
She is one of the nicest artists I’ve met! Great live

Little tip of the hat to Merle at the end, nice.
Happy New Year!
I’ve gotten to where I watch your reactions to find new music I want to listen to.

Yes, that's Stu's old bassist
Kevin Black
Great video! I always learn a lot
Yes, that is KB on the bass.
Your ability to break down what they are doing instantaneously seems like witchcraft. But it's very entertaining wizardry.
I thought he was actually playing "Fortunate Son" right there at 11:30 🤣
At 11:30 thats the intro to fortunate son CCR
11:40 You played some Creedence there bub. A little “Fortunate Son.”
I had the same moment during that walk down. Started singing and everything 😁

Nice. Please check out Uffe Steen. Boogie in the Daylight. Probably the best blues player you never heard of

A duet between her and Sturgill Simpson would be awesome.
Sturgill Simpson old bassist plays for her
@@mikefields4136 so, you're saying there's a chance lol
He used to be in her band a long time ago. They did You're the Reason Our Kids are Ugly back for her Ryman residency in 2018.
