I love hearing non sorc mains complain about the buffs the sorc got. So many classes have op skills and now the sorc has survivability too. You can't tell me the sorc shield isn't balanced compared to the survivability of dk's, arcanists, wardens, nb, and templars. All those classes have ridiculous heals and shields. Now the sorc can keep up.
Have tried 4 builds since the update and am loving sorc again!

I like how there are sorcs out there defending this saying "sorc never been strong" and conveniently forget that for the first couple years of ESO it was unkillable sorcs streaking god mode shield stacking entire 20 man groups before shields and streak were nerfed. 2 years of that shit. I remembered 😂

I’ve been on sorc for 2 years now. Stopped playing since u41 since everyone else is on it. But when I do I prefer crafty on body at all times, rallying cry back bar with asylum’s lighting staff front.
I chased one guy 1 hour he ran his damn base at the end
The shield heal is nice, but I find myself only using it when I need a heal, as before I would be doubled shielded heading into a fight, now I am under-shielded.

sekar do you think I could run thrassian stranglers on a sorc setup as well? I run craafty alfiq and shattered fate as well with masters back bar as well and i hit like the truck that hit the truck as well

Here’s the problem with sorc….
Mid to high 20k resistances paired with a singular 16k shield. It’s legitimately impossible to smack through them even when their shield drops without them being able to get back up and immediately turtle up back into the protection of their shields. If we are gonna have "good" shields they need to limit their ability on the capability of resistances so there is actually some kind of skill based requirement to play sorc and some sort of skill based counter play to sorc. If you drop your shields you should die pretty easily, with sorcs now that is not the case unless they’re getting outnumbered pretty decently, plus you can’t even crit on shielded players!
I legit might take a break from the game due to the sorc infestation now lmao it really is annoying getting bombarded by some ward spamming fucker that streaks a mile away to heal up if you manage to chip through the wards

All the people crying are the same people using Arcanist which is unkillable, you have Dk which is unkillable and the damage is obscene, you have nightblade one shotting, unkillable wardens, Templars that can heal through anything and your complaining that the weakest class next to necromancer dares to get any buff? Magsorc has been awful for years now it's competitive
You are a terrible player that is carried by meta if you think sorc is balanced rn, just cause your builds are sht doesn’t mean what you say about the other classes are true u bot
The first 3 years of ESO was unkillable shield stack sorcs who could streak for less than 900 magic with no ramping cost and could literally tank 20 players before dying.
The reason sorc is hard to balance is because of how streak and range work in it's toolkit. A range gun and run class that is now as tanky as a corrosive dk, heals like a templar and still has all the unique power and speed in its tool kit along with 10% more magic buffed to already the largest max magic class kit in the game is obscene.
Yes there are strong ways to build all the classes. But sorc is currently the only class with no real counter or downside to its toolkit and buffs it recieved in u41
-A tanky corrosive dk has to wait for 200 ult
-A healplar still cant burst you down anymore without a group while it spams execute.
-NB still has to get in range to box and can still be bursted down and detect pots and aoe shut down cloak
-Wardens are tanks but still have to get in close to use its entire toolkit and box just like dk
-Necros arent worth mentioning because they are bad at everything except group bombing right now
-Arcanist is a tank but has almost no real damage outside of vateshran and masters proc builds.
Sorcs ONE weakness was their weaker healing behind shields. They have near nightblade level burst with curse and frags, they cant be killed behind shields anymore in a 1v1 and you need 3 people to even have a chance to kill one in cyrodill or they just streak away.
They recieved multiple passive buffs and skill morph buffs on top of the hardened ward instant heal behind a 15k shield easily on par with breath of life. Giving them effectively an additional 20k health difference on top of how oppresive range damage is right now with no real counters to range
I wouldnt complain about range if there were more universal ways to deal with range attacks. Buff dks wings back to full reflect, and make a universal world skill line give a flat defense to ranged attacks but weaker than dks
There are hundreds of anti-melee skills and sets and abilities but only like 3 anti range. And one of those is an ultimate, and the dk one is all but useless. Making wardens ice shield the only effective anti-range skill in the entire game and all it does is delays the fight
Now the class issue is still secondary to issues like undeath, high health, and proc sets and free damage sets like Vateshrans status effect cheese.
But lets not pretend Sorc isnt the absolute strongest class for pvp right now. It absolutely is

Why would you need charged on the staff when the staff abilities will grant the status effect already when casting force shock

because the asylum staff actually gives separate status effects to the one proc’d off force pulse. so you could potentially get double the burst.
I and others used to use draugrkin grip instead of rallying cry with this setup for this purpose.
