Add wise to innocent, the two are not mutually exclusive. And this is what makes her so unique, the ability to house these qualities in the same soul and to access them in the relevant circumstance. She is so generous in her sharing of her experiences that I feel I learn so much about life in general, not only in the acting world.

I should add that even though there was no visual, I was transfixed from start to end. Jessica is so fresh, so innocent and so bright that it is no wonder she is the star she is today. I could go on...

I love Jessica Lange (I call her, "Big Jess" ) because of her extraordinary, large talent. She is so graceful, light and giggly and honest about her career in this interview that I am even more endeared and admiring of her greatness. I am old enough to have gone to see the remake of "King Kong" when it opened and I was struck about how "Dwan" grew from screaming terror in the beginning, to being protective of Kong and how she pleaded with him to put her in his hand on top of the World Trade Center so that the helicopters would stop shooting him at the finale. I thought, wait, this is a real actress and I have seen every movie and T.V. project she has been in. Damned right she has two Oscar's and multiple Emmy's and a Tony! She did and continues to do it, her way.
I don't want to even get started about the obnoxious Miss Molly Haskell!

Man, I'm so sick of interviewers who are more interested in their own editorializing than the interviewee's answers. This person has the Charlie Rose disease.

Agreed. More than half the interview you’re hearing the interviewer’s voice and she kept interrupting Jessica whle she’s talking. Otherwise I enjoyed listening to Jessica giving interesting insights to her films.

I'm a big fan of both Molly Haskell (whom I've met) and Jessica Lange, but I must say that Jessica's been extremely fortunate in that since "Tootsie," almost all of her films failed at the box office.

KING KONG was awesome her performance is an organic tour de force of pure sensuality. The original version sucks and the digital remake is horrible. 70s KONG is the best.
