OzMosaics Tip: Presealing Terracotta Mosaic Birdbath with Laticrete Hydroban.

Apply tesserae directly or consider the Mosaic on Mesh technique if it suits your project.
Using the Laticrete Systems, Sandy recommends Hydroban as a pre-sealer and Laticrete thinset (cement based products) for mosaic adhesive and either Latricrete PermaColor Sanded Grout or the fantastic Spectralock Pro stainless epoxy grout. Obviously, if you desire a Glass on Glass, transparent mosaic project, do not use thinset as it is an opaque drying glue.
