25:25 I just love how 'In Motion ' evolves to a point where 'Get Up' theme shows up, amuses everyone and gives us a spoiler on what's to come. Thanks, Their Dogs Were Astronauts.
@@randalljewell679 It happens sometimes with technical parts, it's like laughing about what you just heard because it was too good but you can't even understand how they came up with the idea, or because some part was really unexpected so it takes you off guard.
There are sections in White Feathered Wings like 58:04 that sounds something like a Hell's Angel biker helping his kid sister with homework and I am here for that energy.
I always tell people White Feathered Wings is one of the most important songs on my library. Such raw emotion, broken but nurturing. It’s amazing, and I can’t possibly think of a better finale for such an incredible album.
Contortionist is seriously one of the freshest, crazy fun tracks I've listened to in so long. I had a stupid grin on my face the whole time. But that's not to discredit anything else because this whole album is fucking incredible and you guys rule.
I haven't truly felt something new, something so beautiful and fresh from an album, something that really spoke to me since idk the Dear Hunter album act II. thank you for being so amazing
Every bit of this music is so stimulating to consume I can't even imagine what living in each if their heads feels like, I see Zach gakafanakis with the complex equations orbiting his head haha
I found you guys because some girl running the register at a vintage clothing shop was playing Contortionist over the PA. I Shazam-ed it, and it came up as “Contortionist,” which to my knowledge was a decent djent band I’d heard about peripherally. Man am I glad it wasn’t them. This album has changed the way I look at a lot of things. Incredible front to back, and I literally can’t find something that I can listen to and go “yeah this is better than neon theatre album”. I have such an emotional connection to these songs despite there not being one word in them at all. And Get Up has been my alarm clock for almost 3 years now.
the problem in this world is that most of the people can t understand what is a wonderful album and the result is that you have 2178 likes and not 21.780.000 that is what you deserve.
The few people who disliked this must not have listened at all. This is a masterpiece. My only issue with this is that it took me so long to find you guys. Keep it up. I am thoroughly impressed as a musician and as a listener. Its Sooooooooo good.
I love it! I have been binge listening to your albums. Every single song has such a different feel. I haven't found a song that I haven't immediately loved. I am forcing all my friends and band mated to listen to everything. Keep it up. Seriously love this.
39:12 I would like to have an hour long version of just this riff pls and thank you. I think I have listened to this song at least 10 times now but I still keep smiling from this part without trying to.
@@Fitzington I love that you responded so prompt, no matter if I have never met you, I am always glad to see someone that commented years ago is still with us and well! I've been on a music journey the last 5 years, and while I mostly favor extreme metal I'm open to gems like this, a nice change of pace. I love being able to experience other's amazing human expression through sounds and rhythms. Good for the soul and our evolution. Peace be with you in this Pleroma!
So... when I heard the banjo part I may have punted random objects through my windows. You know, just america things living in the midwest and all. Love this album. Sooo much texture to it!
Couple tabs down and a fatty chop on the go , hit p TH-cam to find this fresh af absolute ripper! Nice one guys my day has been made! Hats off to these lads great music..
This is one of my all time favorite albums ever. I love the dynamics here and the keyboards everything comes together so well. So much intent, seriously fantastic job guys.
You guys did it again!! This album is incredible, I cannot stop listening to it. Easily some the best instrumental progressive/djent/metal out there. Keep up the amazing work! Your music has inspired and helped me through more than you will ever know.
The first time I heard “Get Up” I was like the intro is cute and poppy with a little heavy then the breakdown hit me hard af. Like what just happened? I love it because you go right back to the poppy feel like nothing and it’s the best!! You guys are unbelievable!!!
My dear son throws all sorts of good music in my direction (in the old days it was the other way around) And. . now he has done it again. 😛 How the hell does he do it? Well, I know.
Love the music but the songs that fade out at the end bum me out! I like a hard ending and fading them makes me feel incomplete! I'll live though! Keep rocking guys!
i know this is from 2017 but i didnt find it till now, after the contortionis - clairvoyant i didnt find anything so good last year, why am i so happy!???
You are master-level, Your music is at the same time weird, chaotic but so clean and harmonic so I am even not able to tell it using language, what You say through music. (btw, greetings from Poland)
haha oh you're right we also thought it was kinda similar when we finished the song but we thought it's not too close and it was definitely not done on purpose!
DAN Sounds I've been a fan for two years now and was patiently waiting for some new jams. I really dig the time signatures and experimenting with new sounds. You make phenomenal music, and that is funny about the pokemon thing
Silly question do you have drum transcriptions for any songs. Specifically want to learn wfw but the bass drum lick with the hi hat accents and basically hands in General are off beat with the feet and i cant work out the kick pattern.its so tasty.
Really love the album, loads of fun and full of surprises, great balance between songwriting and "tricks", nice production too. But hey, the main riff of "Neon Theatre"... it's almost identical to the breakdown riff in "Smile" by Tesseract. Wonder how that came to be?
Thanks dude! :D Really means a lot! :D Yeah, someone else pointed that out too, we didn't do it on purpose, I came up with the Neon Theatre riff quite a while ago and came back to it when we were writing the album. We thought it's cool and later when the song was finished we realized that it's quite similar but we thought it's ok because it's not too close. Was absolutely not meant to be a ripoff, especially because we didn't even plan on copying that riff or thought of it while writing the song.
