    Felt this one on a different level. I love the idea of God blocking certain paths that were traveling along because he knows us perfectly, knows what’s best for us, and gently steers us in a better direction. Looking forward to more from this podcast!

    It's sort of strange to take advice from someone younger then you are but I really believe you're wiser beyond your years

      I don’t think it’s about age it’s about life experience. Someone in their twenties can go through twice what someone in their forties has.

    Brilliant video Samantha 👍I’ve had a challenging year dealing with an addiction to social media and being diagnosed with autism. I’ve been bullied by people who I was friends with for months. I had to give all my work friends up. Later in the year I met a loving family with 2 really kind people who have been a great support and encouragement from God. Answered prayers. I’m a big fan of your Podcasts and can see God is doing an amazing work in your life 🙏Please pray for a colleague at work who I tried to share the gospel to. They are very open and interested to understand about my faith.

    Thank you for talking about your faith. I can relate so much to this video. My singleness and isolation phase led me back to making God my priority. It took me forever to see it but He really does things perfectly to reach our hearts. I am now fully trusting in Him to connect me with my future husband when it’s meant for me. I still have days when I feel lonely but that’s when I lean on Him the most. If you would have told me that 5 years ago, I would have laughed and said “yea right.” He does amazing things! Unfortunately I don’t have anyone in my family who walks with God right now, so it can be lonely not to talk about my faith with anyone so I so appreciate your videos because it feels like a conversation with someone who gets it. I encourage you to keep talking about your faith because it’s part of your story and it speaks to so many people who relate. And the ones that don’t, they will see it in due time. I truly believe that. Thanks so much for this video!

    This is a very important topic and I identified so much with what you said about depending on others in order to feel happy. I think we have to work more on convincing ourselves that even if we’re alone on a Saturday night for example, that’s okay. If we don’t have any exciting plans for the day it’s okay. If we’re not being super productive or super social for a period of time, that’s fine too. More people are going through similar things than we realize, no matter what we see on social media.

    awesome episode, it made me pause the video to write down all the things I’m grateful for because I tend to take what I have for granted. I also went to give my mom a hug because as anxious as I am to move out next year that means I won’t be near her or my family on a day to day basis anymore and this video reminded me to live in the moment again 💜

    What good timing. I’m living on my own and have been thinking about this topic since I got back from visiting family at the holiday. I found this quote on it “Instead of running away from our loneliness and trying to forget or deny it, we have to protect it it and turn it into a fruitful solitude. To live a spiritual life, we must find the courage to enter into the desert of our loneliness and to change it by gentle and persistent efforts into a garden of solitude.” (-Henri Nouwen.)

    I am glad you opened up about this and I’m happy you overcame that lonely feeling. I moved to a new city without my family and friends. You are right, I didn’t know myself alone without anyone. Now I can be alone and in peace. I got closer God too ❤

    Hi Sam. I love walking your walk with you. Please don’t give up on people. I had prayed for over thirty years that my wife would join me in church. Two years ago she woke me one morning and told me to get showered and dressed because we were going to church. I jokingly said who are you and what have you done with my wife. That was the wrong thing to say but now she won’t let us miss church. I became a church Elder again which I think you know. I’ve been talking with a friend about him coming back to church with his kids and praying on it. He told me he would two months ago. He hasn’t come back yet. I was very discouraged. I know you’ve said that everyone should have a therapist. My therapist told me that I shouldn’t feel down about it. She said you planted the seed. Now you need to step out of the way and let the Holy Spirit take over. Please keep up your you tube videos and podcasts. You are doing more then you know. God Bless You. PS. Your hair is absolutely beautiful.

    Hi Sam! I love the content. I have to say that learning to be vulnerable with God is life-changing. My life changed once I realized that I could tell Him anything and everything. Nothing is ever too big or too small for Him. He cares about every aspect of our lives. God is good and He is here to help not to judge. I'm glad that this year has brought you closer to Him and in return you're able to help and guide those who are hurting. ❤ God bless.

    One of my favorite things in the world is to go see a movie alone. People think it’s weird but I find it very comfortable, don’t have to worry if no one else doesn’t like the movie:)

    As soon as I saw the title on the thumbnail, I knew where this was coming. I completely get the technical differences between being alone and loneness. Very straight to the point for the moral lessons. Hearing these sincere stories what challenges you faced or the blessings you received is just really admiring. You’re not just a pretty girl on camera. Thank you for being approachable. Especially when it comes to emotional mental situations. I am definitely not lonely, and I’m eternally blessed for that. Nothing is taking that away or taken for granted. When it comes to being alone, the reason I get so sad about that is the fear of never having a proper woman in my life. When I lost a friend I admired, it was refreshing to be closer to a female in that way. I wanted a woman in my life to share hobbies with. To anticipate to connect with. Not just for dating purposes, but to fulfill an inch if that makes sense. To experience feelings for someone romantically or just a lady friend to a greater extent. These are just explanations why I felt the way I have when it comes to that. And haven’t embraced the bigger picture the value which ties to everything you said about important it is be in the place of singleness. I don’t want to come off needy, or desperate for a woman. I want to feel confident, competent, and truly be ready when I find the right woman in my life. That much for certain. You literally said everything I need to work on. I am certain God will send you the right person. As with me. I just need to open up to God more in my life. His comfort, and timing is the only way. Thank you for this video as a reminder what I need to do in vice versa!

    *sidenote: you say that being alone on a Saturday used to be your worst nightmare....Sam I literally have the opposite problem! I'm so comfortable being alone/a homebody that I get anxious when I get invited to social stuff and am constantly trying to find excuses to not go out😅 not that I'm constantly getting invites but I'm trying to push myself to be a little more social

    You can be in a relationship and save up money as well as work on yourself at the same time. 😌 You just have to find the right person that doesn't take over your entire life and gives you the space needed for you to grow and be the best version of yourself. 😉

    Everything Has Its Time
    3 To everything there is a season,
    A time for every purpose under heaven:
    2 A time [a]to be born,
    And a time to die;
    A time to plant,
    And a time to pluck what is planted;
    3 A time to kill,
    And a time to heal;
    A time to break down,
    And a time to build up;
    4 A time to weep,
    And a time to laugh;
    A time to mourn,
    And a time to dance;
    5 A time to cast away stones,
    And a time to gather stones;
    A time to embrace,
    And a time to refrain from embracing;
    6 A time to gain,
    And a time to lose;
    A time to keep,
    And a time to throw away;
    7 A time to tear,
    And a time to sew;
    A time to keep silence,
    And a time to speak;
    8 A time to love,
    And a time to hate;
    A time of war,
    And a time of peace.
    Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 nkjv
    GREAT podcast Sam. Very uplifting, insightful and helpful. God is really using you, and you are growing in your walk so powerfully (great podcast name btw!). We are all on our “walks” hopefully of sanctification, until we take our last breath on earth. I’m SO OVERJOYED about your friend receding the Lord! How Awesome 👏. Thanks for sharing your life (a real-time LIVING testimony!) with her. That’s the best kind. She could SEE how you’ve been and are being changed, and she wants whatever it is (Jesus Christ and His Father) that you have. HalleluYah!!! I’m so happy 😀. God bless you woman of God, thanks for sharing this wonderful podcast with us!! 🙏😊👍

    Great video Sam. I'm alone, but not lonely, I do need to make more of an effort to meet new people. As you said, it's easy to stay in your routine/comfort zone and before long you will fall into the lonely trap. I've never been a church goer, but hey, who knows. I might find my very own Samantha. ❤
