  • I did this project about a month ago now, but I was having problems uploading any of my edited videos, I believe that's all fixed yay!
    This project ended up costing me about $80 total! But of course that's mostly because of the curtains. I LOVE how it looks and how much light still comes in. We've made even more changes to this room since this project and I can't wait to share them in upcoming videos!

    Great idea! You could also cut an inch off the ends & use the pvc caps as finials for a finished look.

    I found this trying to see if I could paint dark stained smooth curtain poles and finials. Great job. What a star

    I have a lovely living room and my big windows would be too expensive the regular way. This has been my plan. I'm glad you posted your video. I'll be using the elbows too and I choose white sheets for drapes . Thank again!!

    when i had to paint my PVC pipe i just use 2 skate boards trucks with the wheels. and they both had the same Wheels. i just took both skateboard trucks off the skate beards front trucks, then into a 2-inch thick piece of wood 5 inch width. screw them in i got 2 reduction fitting to fit over the wheels then on to the the pipes then got a wide rubber band and a old fan and use the rubber band as a belt then i tun on the fan on low then i could pray paint the pipe all in one pass from left to right waited it to dry then repeat was faster this way but u have to movie kind slow but not to slow or u will get the paint to drip

    also had to make my own black out curtains easy to make i bought the black out cloth in amazon then the ring ro thy just snap on you only need a sewing machine fold over the cloth i did a double fold of 7 in the top and a double-fold of one in the bottom sew it together the reason why i needed to do that was because i needed i extra wide curtain

    I like your video. Thanks for sharing your ideas and journeys at walmart etc in search of the products. I forgot to check with walmart for the parts i need for my project. I am wondering how it would look to paint the silver pipe brackets with same color paint as you painted the pvc curtain rod. Also I just thought those curtain rods could make for interesting secret hiding place for some valuable, being that they are hollow inside..

    Hi I really enjoyed your video and your project came out so good.... I just wanted to know how many cans of spray paint did u need to coat the pic pipes and elbows, and also how many curtains did u need to complete the look ... awesome job btw

    • @KarenaMyLife
      @KarenaMyLife  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used 2 cans, and it ended up being 10 panels (6 sheer white & 4 of the patterned beige) 😊

    • @bklynprilly
      @bklynprilly 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh ok...Was it heavy once u put them up like was it gradually weighting it down or is it sturdy

    • @KarenaMyLife
      @KarenaMyLife  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +mz. pril it was sturdy because I used the metal brackets as well plus my curtains were sheer so they were very light

    This is awesome! One question, How did you cut the PVC pipe to the length? Did you buy a cutter?

    • @KarenaMyLife
      @KarenaMyLife  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      No I measured the lengths that I needed before I went to the hardware store and had an employee cut it after I purchased it, no cutting for me 😊
