      Hi Gina,
      You're right, the sky is the limit. I don't know if you've checked out this video I did for the same plugin ( th-cam.com/video/e2qYe3QIK5g/w-d-xo.html ) where I go over all the widgets and extensions it offers. It's a value-packed plugin.
      Thanks for being a subscriber and thanks for watching!

    Hi Bjorn. I like your videos but I am not sure that I can do what I need with this 'Dynamic' plugin. Maybe you can answer this question. Can I build a Year/Make/Model drop-down form? I have a site with over 800 different part numbers for many different cars and need a form to search for specific Make/Model combinations such as you would see on most car-related sites such as NADA or Kelly Blue Book. Thanx for your help with this ...

    Another great WP Learning Lab video! Question: When do you consider a Wordpress site has too many plugins? What is the average amount? Thanks

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Hi Pablo,
      I think it's too much when your site load time starts to be affected. I personally wouldn't want more than 10 or so plugins, but with some sites you don't have a choice. I currently have WooCom + LearnDash on my WPLearningLab site. And the number of extra plugins required to get WooCom to function properly and the extra plugins to make LearnDash more user-friendly is crazy. That's one reason I'm moving away from WooCom to ThriveCart (a third part shopping cart).
      Another reason to keep plugin numbers low is that the more plugins you have the more security vulnerabilities you're potentially introducing to your site and the more plugins you have to keep up-to-date all the time.
      I hope that helps :) Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Bjorn! I'm seriously looking at your link to Dynamic Content plugin. Thank you for this! My question is how best to keep visitors clicking through my main site to click through to a demo site page on the same website? What's the current wisdom to keep them from bookmarking their way straight to the demo page? I see Dynamic Content has Dynamic Visibility but haven't studied it yet. Thanks!

    Does dynamic content for elementor allow you to add "answer by image"? What I would like is Typeform like functionality where you can, for example, show 4 images and ask users to select their fav. by clicking on it. I haven't found any decent form builders that can do this besides Typeform.

    Bjorn, do you know if there is a way to only show things in the email2 portion based on conditional logic?

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Greg, if you are using the dynamic emails that the Dynamic Contet for Elementor plugin gives you, you can add dynamic content you any of the emails. You can add the dynamic emails in the 'after send actions' tab in the Elementor editor.

    • @greghyatt1601

      Bjorn, is it possible to show based on conditional logic? For instance if a field was selected then show it in the email section but if not don't show it at all. Referring to the receiver of the email?

    This is great, thanks Bjorn! I do have a question - I'm a little skeptical and scared to use the Elementor form because I want to make sure I also have the information stored (just in case) such as Flamingo for CF7. What do you think about that?

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Petia,
      I understand your concern. Neither Elementor nor Dynamic Content for Elementor (as far as I know) will safe form data in the backend of your site. Dynamic Content for Elementor has an feature that saves form data to the front end (you can see it here: www.dynamic.ooo/widget/save-elementor-pro-form/). That's close but not the same.
      If you need to have that functionality I would stick with Flamingo + CF7.
      I hope that helps :) Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!

      @@wplearninglab Hi Bjorn! Thanks for your useful tuts. I remember seeing in one of the FB Groups I'm in that one would need Elementor DB or Form Vibes to save Elementor Form data to the database. Please have you tried any of these? Cheers!

      @@wplearninglab Hmm, I thought Dynamic Content's saving form data to PDF saved it under Uploads/xxx...? And I guess I didn't realize there may not be a means of saving form data into a custom post type? That would be a huge shortcoming.

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Tony,
      Thanks for the tip! I may make a video about that :)

    • @wplearninglab
      @wplearninglab  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jeff,
      By default the PDFs generated by form submissions are stored in wp-content/uploads/elementor, but you can change the save location (see the "folder" bullet point near the top of this help page: docs.dynamic.ooo/article/118-pdf-action ).
      As for saving the data to a custom post type, it looks like that may be possible using the "Save" action. The main page for that action is here ( www.dynamic.ooo/widget/save-elementor-pro-form/ ). This action will save the form data to a post on the front-end of the site if you want it. I'm not sure if that functions with CPTs, the docs page doesn't mention those specifically for "saving to posts". Here is the doc page: docs.dynamic.ooo/article/121-save-action
      The last section on the documentation page is called "Read saved entries from backend" and it talks about view form data in the back end using CPTs and Pods or ACF. If you're using CPTs, Pods or ACF to view the data in the backend, it would seem those that those posts could be viewed on the front end as well.
      I hope that helps :) Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!

      The Elementor form steps will be a great enhancement. I've made a full walkthrough of the Elementor form steps (the Beta version) and the form steps in the Dynamic Content for Elementor plugin. The one in the Dynamic Content for Elementor plugin is better than the one Elementor has built in its current state. You can compare them in these two videos:
      Elementor form steps (in Beta): th-cam.com/video/DQ26wXeIDVE/w-d-xo.html
      Elementor form steps via the Dynamic Content for Elementor plugin: th-cam.com/video/9yRstajf_SQ/w-d-xo.html
      I hope that helps and thanks for watching!

      Elementor has added their own multistep form functionality, but it's nowhere near this plugin's capability. I'm not aware of another capable option that is free at the moment.

    • @wplearninglab

      You better believe it :) Also, if you want a free option you can make forms do anything you want with JavaScript. It requires coding, by it's free and JS is how all these plugins add conditional functionality.
