It would be very nice if you could take an individual tank and one at a time slowly move the camera around it in a 360° circle. Sort of like having it on display on a turntable. I would find this immensely helpful to see tanks, planes and expecialy ships! These virtual models would be a great guide for model makers to use to see exactly how things are put together rather than interpreting grainy old pictures. Awesome!

They were named with a prefix "T" and a year when they started with their research. T-34 had early planes back in 1934, so it's named T-34. The today's version of T-54 officialy entered service in 1954 so it's named T-54. T-55 started being developed in 1955 so it's named T-55. Same goes for T-62. T-64, T-72, T-80, T-90 and the new T-14.

M1A2 has approximately ~400mm in the lower frontal part against APFSDS. 3bm42 (old shell) can penetrate it from 3 km. The upper frontal part also easily breaks through, but it also depends on the angle at which the tank will stand.
Protection against HEAT shells in the lower frontal part is good (~750mm), but can be penetrated from an RPG by a PG-7VR projectile, it has the same penetration. The upper frontal part is weak for any cumulative grenades.
One penetration in hull from APFSDS has a big chance of killing or seriously injuringcrew members. Same for HEAT

The only thing I would change would be the Al-Zarrar. Al-Zarrar has been upgraded with composite and explosive reactant armour and can shoot beyond 2 km. It also uses computer software to assist in locating targets, effective aiming with lasers, and detects any lasers being used to aim at itself. Al-Zarrar is basically just using the bare bones of the type 59 and upgrading everything else to reduce cost.
So in essence it should be split into "type 59" for second generation and "Al-Zarrar" for third generation.
Al Zarrar is a Third Gen while a newer one al Khalid is 4th gen, idk why arjun is here its a piece of junk lmao

Most of tanks today have APFSDS rounds plus if war takes place in cities which is common an RPG will be enough so there is no chance of success unless it creates a record in battles.

There's a bunch of incorrect information in this video, the main armament of the M47 and M48 were derivatives of the 90mm M3 cannon.
Centurion was introduced in 1945.
T-54 was produced since 1946.
M-47 -> 1951
The Merkava Mk 3 has the text copied from the M-84.

The 90mm M36 in the M47 and the 90mm Gun M41 in the M48 were NOT derivatives of the M3. The ammo for the M3 could be fired by the M36 and M41, but the ammo for the M36 & M41 could not be fired in the M3. The cartridge case for the M36&M41 were larger and wouldn't fit in the M3 chamber. This was so that the HEAT round could be fired at 1,000 m/s.

"Altai" is a third generation tank. It does not fundamentally differ from the predecessors. The only, at the moment, fourth-generation tank is the T-14 which has an uninhabited tower, and the crew is housed in a separate capsule, which distinguishes it from all other vehicles.
The fact that Altay is a 4th generation tank does not seem to be welcomed by foreigners. So Altay is a really good tank.
It has a Rheinmetall L55 level gun and can penetrate 2 meters of rha steel with the latest generation sabot ammunition. Its front armor has high kinetic protection at the 2A7 level. Ceiling armor is 50+50mm spaced armor, resistant even to A10 Thunderbolt cannon fire. Yes, unfortunately the engine features are not very good. So, don't its other features make it a new generation?

The M1 family has been in 4th generation for a long time. It's a shame that they didn't include it. It had some of the first upgrades that DEFINED 4th generation tanks.

Mistake on the Merkava Mk III: repeats the description for the M84 next to it.
I think the video is over simplified. A newer t72 is easily a 3rd gen tank and the M1A2C is 3rd gen advanced. Same goes for many other tanks.
The video is just poorly researched. The Indian/Iranian tanks are inferior to modern tanks, yet they are second to latest generation according to this video. Most tanks had multiple variants in this video except for Abrams, which is just unfair given that modern Abrams would just trash something like Arjun.

The M60 wasn't part of the Patton Family. The Patton family were designed as medium tanks while the M60 was designed to be an MBT
This is partially true. The M60 was never officially designated as a Patton tank, though it does build off of Patton tank designs. I think the actual reasoning for not labeling them as Pattons is a bit different. It's not just because it is an MBT. I mean, the M47 and M48 were also MBTs, but they were called Patton tanks in official documentation. The distinguishing characteristic of the M60 was the fact it was a "Second Generation" MBT, the first of its kind to enter service in the US Army. The only Patton tank that wasn't officially an MBT was the M46, which was consistently classified as a traditional medium tank in official documentation, rather than a main battle tank.

Well 2A7 model isnt even in that wide use yet...2A6 is still in much wider use, which is why its mainly considered the best model. Only about 20 Leopard 2A7 models and thats nothing....so thats why most ppl still call 2a6 the best tank in world as it is in wide use, but ofc this will change in next 10-20 years

I believe there is a mistake with the M47 Patton, as I remember it uses the hull from the M46 Patton, similar to the M26 Pershing, but I your model looks like M60 or M48ish. Also the turret looks strangely wide.

Where's the M1A1, M1A2, the TUSK and the SEP V2 versions? This is incomplete.
It doesn't show the variants, only the upgrades that are *in* service and the base tanks, per se

some of these models are severely squished and out of proportion. the worst offenders are the half engine sized Leo 1 and chieftain + the "cute turreted" T-72.
