While it is sad to see the state of local radio, I at least appreciate that there’s more effort into developing around the custom national formats. More local and topically nostalgic elements. Mason is the best, one of the first personalities I fell in love with from his time at B 94 back in the day. So it’s his fault basically that I got bit by the radio bug! I’d ask for compensation, but he works in radio. Lol. With the second air check, I believe that is Charlie wild on imaging. Perhaps I’m wrong, but whoever it is, I believe also does 70s on seven.
@ honestly, I work in non-calm. Hey, at least I can’t get fired! As a blind broadcaster, allows me to do both stations from my career, a rock station called K-zap in Sacramento, and I’m helping a younger gentleman with a brand new hot AC station called the Seagull, in a little town called Barkley in Maryland about a half hour outside of Dover. And to nerd out for a second, it’s pretty cool to have Chad Erickson saying my name and real world jingles. :-) Both stations have passionate staffs who really care about the community, they are Lpfms that wanna put on a professional product like commercial radio, but in service to audiences with a full service appeal. I respect that, like I said, listening to people like you gave me the radio bug, I can’t quit it. For a career, I’m looking for new challenges, but this is just something I’m good at, it’s something I always wanna do as long as I’m able. much respect to those who paved the path before me in the era of radio where talent was actually respected. Move back to Pittsburgh, traveling is nice, but it’s time to be near my family and settled down with my wife. I can’t put a price on some stability.
