    He's fluid, moving about nicely, a good amount of energy. He hasn't got anything to prove, looks like he's taking it easy really. Mike Tyson's shadow boxing in those old black and whites however, looked dangerous as fuck--Like anytime they filmed him training was a national warning to all contenders.

      Strength and conditioning training in combat sport is focused on muscle endurance and cardio, the goal is to strengthen your body with just the right amount of muscles to hone and make it mature for the purpose attaining speed, endurance, flexibility and dexterity which is important in combat sports specially boxing and MMA, their training program differs from that of bodybuilding. Cardio, speed, strength and conditioning, mastery of fighting techniques and skills is among others that combats sports excels.

    • @tigerbend1964
      @tigerbend1964 8 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Troll shadowboxing isn't for increasing your punching speed. it is to make your footwork, rythm, combos and all that shit to become second nature so you don't have to think about it when you step in the ring and become more "relaxed". It also is great for finding new ways to fight an opponent as you visualise him or her fighting you. you do this either by imagining an opponent doing what you want him/her to do so you can train on your offensive/deffensive combos in a closer to real situation instead of just throwing combos not caring if it's doable or you imagine fighting your next opponent after watching his/her previous fights so you are "used" to fighting against him/her before actually doing it.

I dunno if evading your opponent in a close quarters fight qualifies as "combat readiness" but hey if someone wants to try to fight you for 30 minutes while you run away let 'em try I guess.

      +Skandy S I don't think Tyson's shadow boxing was as fast but I think the reason you may be disappointed at the speed seen here is because seeing a heavyweight shadow box so fast you most likely expected a lot more from a lower weight division. Also, maybe because Tyson had shorter limbs compared to other heavyweights it made him look even faster.

    This is entirely incorrect. The word "now" was used as an adverb modifying "go"; it was not used as an introductory word. Furthermore, an introductory word (or phrase) does not necessarily require a comma -- there is no hard and fast rule, as you keep implying. The writer determines, using guidelines, what will best enhance clarity.
    Honestly, you should not be correcting people's grammar. You should focus on improving your own knowledge. I recommend Purdue's Online Writing Lab (OWL).
