Thank you! I definitely need to remember to do that going forward. Also another reason to finish projects right away and not put them aside and then return to them months later. A bad habit of mine I'm afraid. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! The mkal is wonderful but I have too many other things on my plate getting in the way of my knitting time. Hope to share my mkal progress in a new episode soon. Best wishes and happy knitting!
Picking up an old WIP that has no notes…oh dear! I too have learned to be kind to myself by jotting down notes as I go. It certainly assuages anxiety! ❤
Notes are definitely a new thing for me but I'm really finding them so useful for my on again off again knitting. Less anxiety is a good thing! Happy knitting!
Your Alpine Bloom looks great! I also had shoulder pain from using a drop spindle. I have a few e-spinners now, which I love! I have a Nano and also the Electric Eel Wheel 6.0. Maurice is great at designing good products and he listens to his customers.
Thank you! I am going to snoop around and look at the Nano/Electric Eel. The drop spindle is a great way to get started and I have learned a lot but if I want to do spinning in large quantities I need to move forward. My shoulders will also thank me!
Your Alpine Bloom looks gorgeous! I love the contrast yarn, it's so pretty and has so much depth. I have never used the FX sock yarn, but now I really want to 😅. I can't wait to see your knit picks shawl. I really love how the purple and green compliment each other in that pattern. The stroll tonal colors are beautiful, they really hit it out of the park with that yarn. Thank you so much for the shout out 🙂. I hope you have an amazing week!
You are most welcome Mandy! I am really enjoying watching your podcast and I know how much work it is! Thank you for doing it. I am really enjoying my new shawl knit. The colours pop and while my daughter says it looks like Halloween and Frankenstein, I'm loving it. Best wishes!
I have to say that your Alpine Bloom looks fabulous on you! Well done, I'm looking forward to starting mine with the Champagne 2.0 silky contrast yarn I bought from Bar a Tricot at the Twist Yarn Festival in Quebec, where we met!
I see I'm not as far behind as I thought I was. I have not been watching much TH-cam lately and lost track of my podcasters! Your sweater is lovely. I made the Zweig and am very happy with it, so I recommend it as a next Caitlin Hunter project. I like how you solved your rolling cowl problem by adding a second side to it; good thinking outside the box. Thanks for the shout out. I work my socks with an 8-inch cuff; I used to wear knee highs back in school all the time, so I like a longer cuff. As for the twisting of the socks in the shoes, I wish I knew the answer to that one...for me it only happens with my right foot...what the heck? lol. I'm looking forward to hearing about the MKAL.
You are most welcome and thankyou! I am glad to hear that you love your Zweig. Every time I see it I fall in love with it. It might just be a 2025 knit for me. Longer socks are definitely better for the winter up here and I like them long enough to be higher that my Dr Martens. I have to admit that this also shows them off a bit too. If only we could figure out the rolling sock problem! I will try the slip stitches on the bottom of the ball of the foot and see if it helps. Best wishes!
Hello fellow Ottawa knitter ❤ I love your Autumn Alpine bloom sweater. Just cast on a few weeks ago and am about 1/3 through the colour work yoke. Kroy FX is a wonderful suggestion for colour changing yarn that is affordable.
Thank you! I am really going to enjoy it as the weather gets colder. The queue is such a battle. So many great knits to make but not enough time. I feel your pain. 😉
I have never participated in Stephen West’s MCALs. I am wondering how prohibitive it is to order yarn from him including any customs charges. Just curious.
I think the price of his kits depend on where you live, the exchange rate and if you have to pay customs but there are plenty of yarn stores that put together kits all over the world which you can also check out. I am well into clue one and I'm really enjoying the challenge.
Always so exciting when you have a new episode. Watching lowers my blood pressure!!
I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed this episode! Best wishes!
Beautiful projects! I always keep the contrast pattern colour below and to the left to make it more prominent🌸🧶
Thank you! I definitely need to remember to do that going forward. Also another reason to finish projects right away and not put them aside and then return to them months later. A bad habit of mine I'm afraid. Thanks for watching!
I do the same thing. :)
I love Call the Midwife...I havent watched in a while...time to watch again! So fun to see all your WIPs and FOs!
Thank you!
Love the Lilly of the Valley in particular in your bouquet. And your Alpine Bloom is stunning!
Thank you! I am just about to start on a sunflower. 😊

Looking forward to watching your first MKAL journey.
Coming soon! I hope it is as fun as everyone tells me.
So nice to catch up with you today. Your sweater looks amazing. Have fun with the spinning!
Thanks Carol! It was a fun knit.
Alpine Bloom sweater looks amazing 🤩 Maybe one day I will learn to knit colourwork 😊
Sylvia! I have to try it. It is the big secret that it looks difficult but in fact it is so easy. Thanks for watching!
Your Alpine Bloom is beautiful Margaret 😍 Thanks for sharing your book finds! I especially love the yoke one 🤗 Welcome to the spinning rabbithole 😂🙈
Thanks Nikki! I am still researching spinning wheels and espinners. It won't be long until one enters my life.
Thank you for the podcast recs…subbed to both now.

I love your Alpine Bloom!
I also got some Stroll sale yarn from Knitpicks! I love it for socks!
I am in love with Stroll yarn. I am thinking I will get a sweater quantity the next time it goes on sale!

I can't wait to see how that turns out. I have a feeling that it will be fabulous!

Hi! Thank you! I love my Alpine Bloom but now need to make all the other Caitlin Hunter sweaters. lol Nice to connect with another local.
Your Alpine Bloom is absolutely stunning!!! It's in my queue, but for some reason doesn't ever make it to the top.
Thank you! I am really going to enjoy it as the weather gets colder. The queue is such a battle. So many great knits to make but not enough time. I feel your pain. 😉
Beautiful Alpine Bloom! Can I ask you, do you use the supersoft doble? I’m a new knitter and eager to give this proyect a try.
Also, I appreciate all your podcast recommendations! What a wonderful community ❤
For this sweater I used it single but when I make a dk sweater I use it double and it works out great.
Thank you! It really is such a wonderful community.
@@mywonderfulknittinglife Thank You for your answer
