Alright I never ask for this but this better get a 2nd gig, this game is infinitely more fun when all players have some experience. Also you know having all characters, stages, and music unlocked
One of the most disrespectful victory things you can do is save up meter as Latch on your opponents last pip then when you go to hit their corpse, pop super and eat them.
I once went 6 hours just doing 1v1s in the original Lethal League with a friend, from midnight until 6am that next morning. We talked and fought, and I felt like I reached a peak of what it was to hit the ball. The absolute tranqulity of the high velocity and the spirit of those matches is inimitable.
I just want to highlight this moment at 31:38 Reggie Smashes, and the Candyman re-positions on the ground with a slight adjustment forward. On Release, Candyman bunts, then Smashes. This player knew the angles and the stage boundaries. Gotta respect that.
I got so hype from Lethal League I jumped off a truck bed and my fat ass made my leg collapse on impact, and I'm still dealing with it 5 years later. GOAT game.
I've trained my friends since Lethal League got ported to PS4, the initiation of Blaze turned us all into the equivalent of a Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer lobby. 2nd gig needed.
Watching this is the closest I've ever felt to a Dragon Ball Z side character when they say, "Ah! I can no longer keep up with their movements!" Like those over 1000 speeds, I literally need a second after the match ends to process what just happened on screen.
Thanks for that ending, Solidus. I love it when the game reacts to speed and action, like Xtreme-G where breaking the sound barrier causes you to outrun the background music.
Yeah, this game has a really inadequate tutorial. It doesn’t tell you about throwing down, or how to hijack the ball in the first place, or even that different characters hit at different angles.
This game perfectly strikes the fine balance between casual and competitive. casual enough to pick up and play with anyone, but competitive enough to generate gigawatts of hype with the right players. And if i had to describe the gameplay, it's like the love child of pong and super smash bros. Nothing i say could do this game justice, though.
Oh my god that character in the thumb is SO FUCKING COOL 16:20 yeah this is Naganuma's track 19:40 fascinating. the characters are 3D but they're always facing the camera, like a billboard texture.
I bought this game about a month ago and it's definitely slept on I really enjoyed it but it's good to see the boys are really digging for New Underground Fighters
At this rate it's only a matter of time until we get Nidhogg. Also I love how LL once it gets going basically turns into some DBZ shit, it's anime as fuck.
Would love to see a Salt Party on this game after the gang has gotten a bit more familiar with it. Also, if anyone wants to see the true insanity behind Lethal League, look up "1 million ball speed" on TH-cam.
Minh's in the Power Stone GIFG. I think it's to keep it easy for scheduling and quickly passing the controllers. >inb4 Minh comes in and blows my shit up
I'm not a co-host for GIFG so my presence is optional. I'm only there when I feel like it, like Power Stone. But I am one of the co-host for Race Wars, Salt Party, and Tablelords, so my presence is required.
According to lore Ashes is the spirit of the police officer that killed dust after they were both struck by lightning when dust was hung from a tree also dust is voiced by grimmjack69 the abridger
I'll never understand how LL and windjammers don't give the views they deserve, you see people all hyped up for them but when the games actually here they go all, hmmm yeah, ok. LL 2 didn even last a full year before it died off, I stopped playing myself because of the lack of players (just like ll 1) from 2k down to 30 online a day is insane, what happened i'll never know. The game plays like a true fighting game imo, it brings out the hype big time when the ball goes crazy on speed and the background changes. THIS is what should have been on the Evo lineup. Btw 48:30 I'm Mushi, I forgot to change my name, was a joke to my friends in another game. Also woolie is spot on about hitting 9999 but no the music doesn't change.
I don't think I had a more fantastic night playing this game because I sold my three friends who really didn't seem interested in this that turned into hype scream match.
Okay since woolie never clarified that unlocking characters is also good . People can just flat say " i cant believe woolie only wants dlc characters to be a thing" or " i cant believe woolie dosent want to bother playing the game story or arcade. To unlock the characters" or " woolie is afraid of challange"
It’s funny, that’s the exact reason the lifebar was implemented. Before Blaze and in the classic mode iirc, a single hit would kill even with the ball moving at double digits.
Hey yo woolz. You asked for an mmo in jet set radio style? You might wanna go on steam and search for a game called "hover". This might dig up something really good
yes, you can check some past tournaments here: th-cam.com/users/ReptileGamesOfficialplaylists?view=50&sort=dd&shelf_id=3 the online ones are mostly going down in the reptile hideout discord
Yep, it's the sequel. You've probably already seen some of the differences, but one of the biggest ones is health bars instead of one-touch death for a given life.
@@johnbuscher The funny thing is just from watching is the health bars seem to only matter on the baby speed. Once that speedometer goes anywhere above 100, that bar is useless. As it probably should be when that thing goes at Mach 5.
Reggie is totally that guy in the shounen who cant follow the fight anymore, cause everyone is moving too fast
Reggie is both Krillin and Vegeta somehow
Alright I never ask for this but this better get a 2nd gig, this game is infinitely more fun when all players have some experience. Also you know having all characters, stages, and music unlocked
That'll probably be the For Glory version
Yeah, and they never really got to play with the items, which are really fricking cool in this game
Im suprised this wasnt a Salt Party episode
@@EleazarA nice pfp
@@mothermushroom_ Ayy thanks man, btw you pfp looking mighty rad
One of the most disrespectful victory things you can do is save up meter as Latch on your opponents last pip then when you go to hit their corpse, pop super and eat them.
Vore to show dominance
*Insert Heavy Weapons Guy eating noises here.*
Is that disrespect?... Or a show of the Apex Predator showing DOMINANCE. 😤 *LATCH GUNNA EATCHU UP*
I once went 6 hours just doing 1v1s in the original Lethal League with a friend, from midnight until 6am that next morning. We talked and fought, and I felt like I reached a peak of what it was to hit the ball.
The absolute tranqulity of the high velocity and the spirit of those matches is inimitable.
Fun fact: The voice of Raptor is non other than team two stars Takahata
Two stars? What happened to four stars?
the voice of Candyman (Carlos Ramírez) is also the announcer. He is also the creator AND owner of Troll face
That's Rad!
48:40 You're not even that far off. Also, imagine thinking 9999 is the highest speed...
Definetly a game that needs a round two with minh, maybe even a round five.
Maybe a round thirty...
It upsets me that we are round who KNOWS WTF with Guilty Gear but we can't get a round 2 of this....
Southpyne came in and STYLED ON EVERYONE
Southpine were u the south pine here?
Strange yeah
Can't wait till they play Jet Set Radio Future.
Literally just re-watched the old fisticuffs episode of this. Hoping I can use this new power to will a Jet Set Radio Future LP in to existence.
I need to see metal gear rising, since reggie has never played it
It's always great seeing a clean reaction to the awesomeness of MGR.
Only if it's a full LP.
I just want to highlight this moment at 31:38
Reggie Smashes, and the Candyman re-positions on the ground with a slight adjustment forward. On Release, Candyman bunts, then Smashes.
This player knew the angles and the stage boundaries. Gotta respect that.
Give me those funky fresh beats!
aint nothin like a funky beat...
Back that, back that! Back that, back that! Back that shit, homie!
..oh, wrong song.
Imagine playing this at a Farmer's Market.
me hearing "ain't nothin' like a funky beat":
"Tha's what I'm talking about. That's why he's the GOAT. THE GOOOOAAAAT!"
This is needs to be in the FGC more or at least in the platform fighter community. Probably one of the most underrated games of all time.
There is an alternate universe where Phantom Ganon is a DLC guest character for this game.
When you see beyond the veil that is how you know that your heart is truly BLAZING!
It's hard choosing at any given moment whether to listen to the commentary or the amazing music this game has
Lethal league was some of the hypest shit I ever played back when i was in college
I got so hype from Lethal League I jumped off a truck bed and my fat ass made my leg collapse on impact, and I'm still dealing with it 5 years later. GOAT game.
I just realized how much Lethal League music sounds like Air Gear
I've trained my friends since Lethal League got ported to PS4, the initiation of Blaze turned us all into the equivalent of a Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer lobby. 2nd gig needed.
The best fighting game.
A.B.Itorial makes a vid on hitstop using Fisticuffs' footage and then this happens? Nice timing
This is a fighting game all about Footies 💪
Reggie's favorite things are footies!
@@SylemGistoe 😂
Lethal League Blaze is full of greatness.
*_YEYEYEYEYEYE!_*
(also, we seriously need a lethal league tourney.)
Holy hell we need match comp vids of this game if we don't already.
There is a comp scene and this game often gets side events at tourneys.
Watching this is the closest I've ever felt to a Dragon Ball Z side character when they say, "Ah! I can no longer keep up with their movements!"
Like those over 1000 speeds, I literally need a second after the match ends to process what just happened on screen.
At 1000 speeds, you need irl ultrainstinct or be like vegeta to predict the ball.
There's an advanced tutorial.
I'm very much here for Reggie getting his mind blown whenever the ball gets to Apocalypse Speeds
i cant believe this game went the route of GG Xrd, like damn they went the full mile on perfect converting from 2D to 3D-with-2D-like-animation.
Woolie, you and your friend watch, 1 million ball speed
Yes! I'm so happy we're seeing more Lethal League
I hope we see at least 1 SINGULARITY this episode, that shit is nuts.
2nd Gig and 3rd Strike when
Lethal league deserves way more love than it gets, it’s such an amazing game

So I've been wondering how come minh isn't in any of these but he's in race wars and salt party? Is it like a personal choice or something?

I believe Naganuma also did a track for Hover, which is sorta the racing game in this style, you guys might check it out.
What is it with Naganuma and doing music in stuff with really stylish characters with occasion skates, Jet Set Radio, Air Gear, Lethal League, Hover.
This?
This needs a (FOR GLORY).
So on instinct, Reggie chose the Ryu as his first pick
