Daniela Jeanbaptiste You're not doing anything wrong, my hair starts to flake after 3-4 days with this gel. That is going to happen with any gel but you can try to tame it by watching the amount of gel you use. Also the products you use with it because not all products are compatible with this gel and that can cause it to flake much sooner than you want.
Oh OK thank you I will try what you say, and can you give me any advice to grow your hair longer, I started going natural 6 months now but they grow slow I think is their any advice for faster grow ItsASHbeauty
Daniela, buy biotin humors those work amazing! Drink a lot of water too, also massage your scalp for blood circulation on your down time (watching tv, laying in bed etc.)

No you don't have to use Cantu, that's just the leave in conditioner I like to use. Lately I have been using the Crème of Nature leave in conditioner which is good as well. It all depends on what your hair likes and if you didn't want to you actually don't have to use one but I would recommend it just because the gel can cause your hair to be somewhat hard when wearing this style.
I've let my hair air dry completely many times with a wash n go and it was fine. I actually prefer to go do it that way but it just takes so long to dry if I don't use the blow dryer a little bit. But once it dries the white product disappears.

+Jessica Ochou if your hair is completely dry & there is still white product visible I would say wash it all out. Try again but use less products next time, all hairstyles are trial & error. But if you hair is not dry then just wait it out to see if it disappears.
I'm not sure what you mean by shaped but I'm gonna say no if you are referring to it being cut into a shape. That was just how my hair looked. Hope that helped 🙂

awwwwh really, yeah it will flake if you keep adding more coats of it. lol i learned that when i was being lazy and wearing my hair in the same ponytail for a week and just adding gel when it looked rough smh i was transitioning and that was just such a easy hairstyle
