I've been a supporter /fan of his since his early days. I’m 19 years old and I can promise you , my generation is more aware of social issues and discrimination than ever. These kids have messages to share and a difference to make. It’s a damn shame our efforts don’t get radio play because all we really want is some positive change and that’s not what sells anymore.
TheElPajero you must not make music then. Sampling isnt stealing. You must not know what type of skill it takes to rearrange sound and to change a sound into a total different while still making a tune/rhythm. Sampling is art and your comment was the dumbest thing i have ever heard
The Mississippi Delta is in what is called The Black Belt. A group of states in the Deep South that have historically had large Black populations. Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama. Especially Mississippi. The center of American slavery for hundreds of years was the Black Belt. And Black culture. The title is about someone (himself) who is rooted in the African-American historical experience.
I agree this is great music, just amazing, but hate it when folks STEAL from others. Sampling takes no skill and just shows the lack of creativity and musicality the music world has been suffering from for a long time. If you want to pay tribute to somebody, learn to play real instruments and do a decent cover, don't steal.
