I've subscribed to and spent a fair bit of money on some very effective courses recently, but Bob Reynolds has managed to fit a wealth of information/wisdom into this short video that will keep an intermediate player like me absorbed for years. It may be his approach to practice and the clarity with which he explains it that may prove to be the pearl in this oyster. That, coupled with his exquisite musicality, makes this video an essential keeper as far as I'm concerned.

I like playing the Bb minor pentatonic over the Gdominant chord. A little easier that thinking the about the G melodic Minor scale but, the G melodic minor does sneak it's way in there too. Very helpful and thanks. Great sound too I like it : )

    great lesson ! thanks !
I also understand that minor pentatonic of minor 3rd of V7 is the major pentatonic of the TriTon
So for G7, you play the minor pentatonic of Bb which is also the major pentatonic of C#, and C# is the triton of G.
    It sounds great !
    Thanks !!!

Bob, Are the 2-5-1 tracks in your lesson material?
The idea of mixing what you know with a focus on a new and challenging sound is a great way to progress. Seems more natural and fun. Thanks for teaching this concept.

your improvisation skill and time is terrific, for lessons would I say, this is maybe a bit to fast switching from on e thing to another though you try to explain it is for yourself helpful(saxophone players) I want to learn from you as a guitar player -piano player, could you make the steps also visible in notes? other wise it is hard to follow what you mean specificly?
