When i started out this was the amp my guitar teacher would use in the practice rooms. Always loved the different distortion channels. The clean is good too. Ive had very high end equipment 100w head and half stack, marshalls, etc. this amp is my favorite all around for convenience, household practice, and if you want it to get loud it can definitely get there. Worth $100 picked mine up for $50 on offerup brand new. I sold my old one to purchase a marshall but went back to the cube.
its great seeing pros do all kinds of amazing stuff with any gear. its all on the fingers and practice! I have the 15xl and blackstar ht20. love the cube for its simplicity and tone. ultimate for bedroom volumes.
I have a couple of small tube amps. just got this for plug and play. Serious amp for the little money it cost- very good clean and 4 crunch/lead sounds that you can tweak. I highly reccomend this amp for beginners, but even people playing a long time will enjoy this for easy tone.
Roland's cube series are totally overlooked by everyone. I own a cube30.. Never find any problem with it. You will get very nice tone even if you dunno how to set. Great amp for the price.
got this amp today absolutly amazing espicially the power squeezer i was playing it at haf1 in the morning and the other people in my house didnt even realise :D
Nope, the Cube 15XL has an attached power cable. Check out the Mobile Cube or Cube Street is you'd like a battery powered version. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
Hello ! I feel in love just after I saw that video and bought this amp ! Could you please tell me the EQs setting for the 1st and 2nd mode ? I'll be glad :).
I LOVE that little Cube!!! I really wish I still had the Cube that I bought some 15 - 20 (+?) years ago. T'was a beautiful, little practice amp. Oh well...I guess I'll just have to break down & get myself a new Crate Cube...They sound Great!!! But...Please, Please, Please...What's the make, etc. of the Axe Rob is using in this video??? Peace... MJ...The Fusion Fanatic
@soumobose Go for the Cube 15XL. It's has: - Clean and a lead channel - 4 types of distortion - 3 band EQ - power squeezer etc - Bigger speaker [more bass] than the micro cube
@soumobose Microcube is basically about the same as this but supersmall (and less effects). As you I would definately pick this one instead of the microcube
@Chriztian86 Hi, Thanks for watching. Just take a 1/4 inch cable from your guitar to the input of the GT10, then a second cable from the output of the GT10 to the input of the amp. Thanks! - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
@soumobose Definately a 15xl..man its awesome..i can get slash, trivium like, PG like and even near about JS like sounds..! Its awesome bhai..niye ne.;).. I got it from Roland Kolkata for 5500Rs..
plz i am very confused. which amp would b good for metal???? this or roland microcube???? ps: i only need an amp for practising in my bedroom not for a gig and i dont care much abt the effects. All i want is a good distorted metal sound. plz help
It would work fine…but a dedicated acoustic amp with reverb/chorus would sound better. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
@Chriztian86 I think that would be a nice sounding setup for practice and maybe for small gigs. Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns. - Dave McCullough Kraft Music Marketing (800)783-3368
I have this amp and overdrive, distortion, and metal zone sucks... The sound i get is something like transformers fart... Lol... but extreme is really cool and the clean is also good... so if you need an amp for practise but only for clean and heavy extreme distortion its good... It also does not support footswitch because it has 2 channels wich you can switch only from front panel of the amp... The power squizer is great and it also has a headphone jack... and its cheap... but its not a tube amp ... and it does not have that sexy sound... its just for practise... i guess a fender mustang is much better amp than this one... maybe some marshall models but fender is better...

Sounds GREAT! But how much was amp volume and how much was due to the microphone and whatever it was feeding through?
Good Review!
