Another super humble bad ass , would always love to hear more story’s about my country’s tier 1 unit , heard it all about the others never hear anything about our own
Hey, awesome interview. Can't say enough about the men and women who sacrifice their lives for us. On a further note, my Dad was in the US Air force, Mom was a Canadian Nurse. When my Dad left the military he opened a Donut & Sub shop in the small town we lived in. The coffee we served came in almost a syrup mix that came from a special coffee machine. My Dad did his homework on the best coffee at the time. We had alot of people, some Canadian celebrities that traveled for our awesome coffee and our amazing fresh donuts made by our family, and yes also our sub sandwiches. P.S. This was long before Tim Hortons showed up on the seen. My brother's and I used to fool around tossing the center pieces of dough at each other and one of them landed in the fryer. That's when we created 'Donut Holes' which sold like crazy. They're now called 'Tim Bits' Guess my Dad should have taken out a Patent on that 😂
7 years with 3 CDO and 12 with the RCR, why is it i have never heard of you Shaun Taylors, founding member suggests you founded JTF2 and we both know that is not true so why advertise you are ? stolen valor ? wtf ? I worked with and trained most of the men from CAR
@@frostycools1315 Hey man, I never said I was the founder. Slow your breathing down... I didn't create the title of this video, I just showed up and talked into a microphone. Listen to the entire video again and let me know where I said I was the founder. How about I save all of us some time... I don't say it. So like I said, slow your breathing down.
Myself I was only with 2CDO for Cyprus and upon repatriation transfered to Mortar Platoon thereafter. In the Z Lines of Petawawa our cage right against Recce Platoon. Shaun was the real deal and I vividly remember the long discussions Recce floored with the troops regarding SARP (small arms replacement ptogram) I was in HQ det with JJ Johnman, Springchief, and another fella his name escapes me right now, but he got Nsmibia tour, John man went to Iran Iraq Disengagement. Because I was the only driver communicator freshly married, they sent me that day on a full day tasking. All the single guys HQ end of day had posting message UN tours except me because freshly married and just back from Cyprus.Thrre was a good amount of CAR that ended up at Dwyer Hill. Shaun was one of them. Another poor guy who will remain nameless lost a hand at JTF2 training session to a faulty fuze S&W flashbang. I understand he was medically released and forced to try to sue a department of S&W company.
@@Joe3pops ya Joe you were the real deal too any who served with the CDO but none of us are advertising that were were the founding member and Shawn has not stepped up to correct the head line here and that just goes to show the quality of the soldier who needs valor he did not win .
Hey @frostycools1315 this is Shaun. It's ok if you haven't heard of me, I wasn't a big deal. I only served in the CAR for four years from 85-89. While there I served with 2CDO and Pathfinder Pl, as a qualified Pathfinder and MFP. I did the Cyprus tour, was on the Airborne Unarmed Combat Team, etc. Regarding JTF2, I was a founding member at the Unit's inception. It's common terminology that's used by the guys who helped in founding up the team. It's also common terminology used by people who were around at that time. Another term that is used is Plankholder, so to be clear I was a Plankholder. I was on the first Assaulter team, I was on the first Sniper team. Those are the facts. If you need evidence, you can head over to my Instagram site @shauntaylors1 where you can get all you need. If you have anything else to add, feel free to hit me up, anytime. Finally, next time we communicate, try and be more polite. If you did in fact serve that long with 3CDO I will know guys you worked with, or worked for. If you need their names I can put you in touch with them.
Great interview! Really enjoyed it!
Super proud of our tier 1 unit. You guys are awesome man. Hey from Toronto 🇨🇦

@@shauntaylors well it might be time for you to man up then and correct that
Sounds like you'd have plenty of good material for a podcast.
