Thanks for taking the time to make videos for us very much appreciated. I think some of my old stuff means more to me than if I had bought it new. It’s never let me down and I can fix it.
Like you I have machine tools so when I wanted an english wheel I built it and machined the anvils off of plans in a rodding magazine. Now I'm in the middle of building a small power hammer and leaf brake. Even though I could afford to buy, making is a huge part of the fun.
My Miller tig machine is at least 30 yrs old and does me fine, no space shuttle parts here but the machine is capable with the right operator. It will last another 30 years probably. New sub, Cheers from on strike in washington state!
Bill - excellent distillation of the decisions you made in acquiring the tools that serve your needs the best!
Thanks for the compliment!

Great discussion thank you.

The old tools have a soul.

Good one.. yeah Ive bought stuff just to get the accessories. Cheers👍
Good point on the financing using the seller to help out. 👍
This video was a total ramble, no list of actual tools.
I don't think you will like video #2 on what tools to buy.
Thank you
