Question: Any time i drink rum, i have a tendency to black out. If i died between the time i was or did SA, can someone still be charged?
If both parties are blacked out, how do they know who assaulted who? The man can also be the victim. Ofcorse they are both going to say "I wouldn't do it with them" in fear of prosecution. I dont think that beyond a reasonable doubt has much weight here.
Date rape drugs make you blackout, complete memory loss and the drug is untraceable
Great video on a complicated issue. I think a lot of people are misguided or honestly told things that just aren’t the truth and every day circles universities and some groups will say if there’s any alcohol involved that’s automatically assault and that is just not the case.
I know in the United States and Canada as well you can be drinking and even be considered intoxicated and still make decisions and know what you’re doing and yes, I would like to have sex.
And if we try to automatically just change that in a very large population of North America has committed crime
How do you tell the difference between alcoholic blackout and the prefrontal cortex going offline due to fear response? Dr Jim Hopper describes this well
You can’t consent when you’ve been drinking if you black out. wtf. 🤬 impossible even if the other party ‘claims’ you did. Yikes
Just because you don’t remember consenting and wanting to have sex with someone, it’s not automatically that you were raped. A lot of people confused the word blackout with passed out we are not talking about an unconscious person. We’re just talking about someone that doesn’t remember.
If you have any experience with drinking sometime, you do things and I’m completely controlled yourself and then just the next day. Do not remember it doesn’t mean that you weren’t making decisions.
So stupid to treat a drunken one-night-stand as rape. Just erodes male-female relations. Take responsibility ladies and own your bad decisions!
OR how about don't try to sleep with someone who is not sober and you are not actively sleeping with who has consented before. Men should take responsibility for not taking advantage of women when they aren't able to FULLY consent.
@@cmichole what about when the man is not sober either?
@@escherita then both parties couldn’t fully consent. It’s not rocket science. If one person is sober enough to know that this person can not truly consent, it’s up to them to back off.
@cmichole In the absence of anything like a moral code that causes you to take responsibility for your bad decisions when drinking, by all means lets involve the courts. If one person is drunk and the other is not, it could be regarded as assault regardless of gender. If both parties are drunk, it's no one's fault. So either stay away from that cute drunk person, or else just get drunker.
