Man, even if Faker hasn't won a lot lately, the fact that he earned the title, "Demon King" is a legend and he's still alive. That's the best part, he's living his prime well known at the thing he loves doing!
One of the funniest things is that actually at 8:20 Morgana wasn't the main reason Faker lost on LeBlanc, the actual whole team composition countered Leblanc's kit. Even tho Morgana is a great pick against LeBlanc, she can still play for picks, specially murdering the enemy carries, but the enemy team also had Maokai which was, and still is today just more effective at that time, a HUGE LeBlanc counter as he can ALWAYS follow and lock down LeBlanc with his W and his old Ultimate created an area around him in which his team took reduced damage, the AD carry was also Sivir who has a spellshield that blocks the first enemy spell that hits her, this completely counters Leblanc's burst as she relies on 3/4 hit combo to kill anyone if she's not ahead and by picking Morgana it's close to impossible for LeBlanc to get ahead since Morgana also has a shield that protects her from Leblanc's magic damage, can shove waves into LeBlanc by simply using her W AND can lock down LeBlanc with her Q and Ultimate during teamfights. It was a huge brain composition if you are able to get Faker into that LeBlanc as you effectively turn the game into a 4v5.
Faker last year still ATE UP like crazy, and rn is at the quarter finals. I think what is crazy about him isnt that hes the best.. but how consistent he has been for the longest time. This man is still an extremely solid player no matter what happens and its crazy, its the Faker effect tbh (you could react to that, there are videos about it).. ofc its a team game, but every teammate of Faker's when without him look very lost and kinda bad (he just has so much experience that makes him very valuable as a shotcaller and even vibe controler, even if hes not the best player of his team, he still is the reason they are consistantly top 2 or 3).
Been following the channel for a while and I must say the more you talk in your videos the more I enjoy them, I particularly enjoy your read throughs for the various champions and I think your occasional bumbles are pretty endearing. Here's hoping you add more of your thoughts and such into your other videos, especially if you continue this Esports reaction series. Much love
Eventhough Faker is the best, i would recomend you my favourite story about Bengi (Faker´s teammate and the only one besides Faker who won Worlds 3 times) aka "The Right hand of God". Awesome video btw :D
Faker is undoubtedly the best of the best. I still see some comments here discrediting him, my god. He said it himself that he isn't in his best form after the fall he had in World 2017. The pressure was too much that he had to go to theraphy. Even with all of that, he still crushed these last few weeks of lck (after his small break). He is still mechanically insane person, but he is in more comfortable position where his team doesn't pressure him to carry every single time, giving him the chance to actually make mistakes. He just said this in his stream, 'even the best people would bound to make mistake if his team starts to make mistakes as well'. I wish people stop disrepect him, it's not so hard to compare him with Michael Jordan and I've never seen anyone downplaying MJ.
Faker is still the greatest of all time, as no one has ever been this relevant as a player longer than him with the number of trophies along the way to build his empire. If someone ever beats him in a game, you'll have to think how long is this person playing, and if he did play long enough, has he won as many titles.
Yep agree and it the longevity of his competitiveness that is the most impressive. Being one of the best in the game for so long while others fade is what i think is the why i think he is the goat.
You could also do a Reaction to The Story of LS - a major figure in the English speaking LoL scene and now a coach for SKT. He has had quite an interesting life and overcame many challenges
Prime Faker was scary man ... nobody could even "touch" him around 2015-2016 and even if u did put him behind like FNC/G2 managed to do in the past his team would step up big Edit: Forgot to mention the " I got him " Korean meme thing ... Faker would legit play the game and calculate his moves/dmg in a way that he would legit tell his teammates "I got him " 1-2 minutes before actually killing his opponent in competitive games
You know, some players turn out to be good, some turn to be revolutionary on the scale of their own roles (Diamondprox, ADC perkz, froggen) but Faker revolutionized League of legends the game, he was basically years ahead of everyone, and it's so easy to look at what he was doing back there and be like "Yea i can do that", but if he makes it look easy, then it's only because of how good he is. For me, Faker is a revolution of the game, he's clearly the goat, and nowadays i think he still got it but over the years, people kept up with him, and honestly it's fine, he's already done more than anyone done so far.. i don't want Faker to win more, it's pointless, the man is a revolution, not even another championship could compensate his influence.
glad you could finally learn about Faker. :) I’ll try and see if you’re on this weekend for a few games. Faker OP! Honestly people remember him for that Zed clip the most
Hey man hope everything went well! Yeah should be on this weekend at some point. I can see why as that Zed clip was amazing, still don’t fully understand how he pulled it off!
@@TheReelSym judging by what the announcers said, I think he used the 1 item in the game that cleanses crowd control to also cleanse away the ult execute from his opponent. Plus juking
Kinda weird to watch this video again... I remember this video hyping up Faker into the top then later in Worlds he has a broke down because of stress, pressure and lost to SSB 0-3. It was the first time we saw him crying on live. All the hype, the expectation turned into blame and disappointment. Honestly Korean fans were really toxic toward him for not being as good as he used to be, pushing a guy to the point that he had to go through therapy and got a break from competitive scene was too much. In my belief it was SKT's greatest fall ever because from then on SKT has never won Worlds or top competitive scene again. They constantly changed the roster so fast that most players in SKT can't adapt to, which led to many losses and the SKT's manager is still not doing a great job handling the situation. Instead they decided to focus more on idolizing T1 members (they changed their name to T1 from SKT T1 because they lost their sponsor), force them to go on multiple marketing campaign to hype them up. They had a good run, but when people saying "Faker is the best League player ever" they might refer to his peak because as of now he doesn't play the game much anymore or as good as he was. He was my biggest inspiration to try out and master every champions in the game which I kind of did, mastery 6-7 on almost champions, Imo he will always the best player in League for changing it forever.
50+ minute games are very common in pro play. Games don't snowball as hard because in casual play players make mistakes that give the other team free advantages like feeding kills, inefficient minion last hitting, not contesting objectives, bad vision, bad decision making in general and games end in 20 minutes because by then one team has a considerable advantage over the other. In pro play it's much more even and teams get ahead in small 1% increments so the game is much more like tug of war then the downward spiral that is solo Q. Personally I hate that Riot allows pro play to dictate so many of their balancing decisions, many champs I used to love like Taliyah, Aurelion Sol and Azir have been ruined by constant nerfs and changes because 0.000001% of players can warp the game with them and the average player who isn't at too much of an advantage on these champs just has to eat it.
Big thing is Faker doesn't play as much anymore, iirc he has hand problems, when people call him the best of all time i generally think they refer to him at his peak, even though he's still an amazing player now.
Faker will always be the Legend in League. Obviously he is not the best player in the world anymore but still it is impresive what he achieved. I am sorry for my poor english btw.
@@TheReelSym Better to watch about Perkz. They really did Caps video too soon, guy had been at the start of his career and most of that video is already outdated. Stories of Perkz, Uzi and Rookie are 3 really good videos about absolute legends Btw the Score also did second part to that Faker story.
6:46 fun fact, you cant surrender in a pro match anymore. Either you make a comeback or you have to see your nexus crushed=)) When just playing rank, you can surrender when the enemy team got ahead too much and you cant do anything, saves you time, energy and you dont feel as much frustrated. But not in pro matches
Faker is still a very good player and is still considered the best player of all time but I don’t think he is even the best at his position anymore but he is still very good.

Actually sky did make it to world's 2019 but lost in the semi finals to g2 esports. Still faker today is not the same player he was before you can definitely say there are others today that outmatch him and are better in mid but he's still very good. But we aren't talking about who's the best player right now , we are talking about the greatest of all time the goat of league of legends and no one comes close to having as many championships or accomplishments as faker and skt no team has even come close to displaying the dominance that skt and faker had. They did what no one else has sure they're far from as good as they used to be and don't win anymore but hell they already won everything there is to win. If league had achievements in esports SKT would be the only team in the world that had achievements at 100% completion. The perfect season, the international grand slam , best worlds finals game ever played. Back to back world championships. There's nothing to win that they already haven't. It's a team game but faker was always the star and he always preformed. Even now he's still good. So yeah that's why I think faker is leagues true goat.

Nowadays meta is so important but back then Faker was known for never using skins and for weird mid lane picks (Riven, Olaf...)
